Guys , I forgot to tell you that
Due to my exams I won't be able to give time for development till 1st week of April
So mostly no more support till that time too
Anyways I am working on some awesome things to be included in February patch for Pie builds
Which may roll out soon...
Also till I come back
Just a request to everyone
That please try to help each other to take this community ahead
And if you think that your problem is not getting solved then just

I use 18.0 stable without problems. But it sounds like you use non-treble recovery. Try Batik recovery or treble-twrp (both in this forum).
Try Wolf-kernel (V3).

If still problems, install "setcpu free" and change the governor to "performance", maybe that will give you better result.

I don't quite understand what is in the current 15th January version, because the earlier changelogs are not in the second post anymore. What is/was fixed in the Oct/Nov builds.
OP spoke in december about Dual 4G/VoLTE, and other things like G-wallpaper app (useless to implement if it's also freely available in apkmirror/play store, why should you bloat the ROM). Could OP add all the changelogs to the second post? And known bugs in the OP, such as the Fingerprint scanner are still known bugs, as a separate bugfix is necessary in some builds. Another thing for me is I'm unsure if the IR blaster works, same for FM radio.
Anyway, good job maintaining and working on this build, and good luck with your exams. Experimental Android Pie/9/16 couldn't bother me as much, as I would rather prefer a stable build over multiple crashes/restarts/voice/camera/etc bugs, so this work appreciated! The clarity of the posts by OP could be improved though.

Found a bug: it is not possible to change the bluetooth device name permanently. It is possible to change but after reboot it is switched back to the standard name (Redmi 5).

I changed the MIUI version because my garmin connect app loses connection with my watch every few minutes,
then I installed this version of lineage
this ROM works perfectly, no problems,
but to my surprise my garmin connect app still dying after some minutes
Any idea? the app it is locked and without battery optimization. (it worked with almost other 5 phones that I tested, and only have problems with the redmi 5 no matter lineage or stock ROM)
