To those who currently have it installed, how did you install it?

I have tried the following:
  • TWRP 3.3/3.4, LineageOS, NanoDroid, Magisk (in that order)
  • TWRP 3.3/3.4, LineageOS, Magisk, NanoDroid (in that order)
  • TWRP 3.4, LineageOS

I tried both deleting & not deleting `/data`. None worked



Edit: wrong forum. I misread the codename of the device. Thought it was GT-i9505. Sorry. Please delete this

After flashing the rom I have lost my root access and twrp recovery, I tried to root and install twrp via odin but it didn't work. How can I root and install recovery again?

@Exodusnick after so many Years of using this little Phone i have to say thanks.

On Christmas it goes into the 3rd Generation and my son will make his first steps on Lineage.

About 8yrs old but still snappy, this was the first phone i developed for. Not only for. I remember i sat into train and was compiling kernels on the phone itself for releasing it, just one day before christmas, on my way to visit my mom.

Thanks for the possibility to revive it.

    Installation Clean :

    Before you begin, save
    Remove the PIN protection and then restart for TWRP recovery.
    Erase data under Advanced (do not format data - this will erase the internal memory)
    Delete system and cache under Advanced

    Flash ROM + Gapps or nanodroid
    Optional - Flash supported root
    Restart

    !!! OTA-update is like in all my Roms set up !!!

    Updates can be downloaded and installed via lineageos_updates on your mobile phone.
    if it should not be possible to install the update automatically or you want to install it manually, proceed as follows,
    (Selects in twrp) install/selects memory/internal memory/parent folder/data/lineageos_updates.
    chooses the build and installs it and everything else you want to install and restarts after that.

    Reporting Bugs :
    Download the MatLog app from the Play Store.
    After downloading the MatLog app, go to the app settings, and change the log level to Debug.
    Clear all previous logs and take the exact steps to produce the error you are receiving. As soon as you receive the error (probably a force close), go straight into MatLog and stop the log recording.
    Copy and paste the entire log either to Hastebin or Pastebin
    Save the log, and copy and paste the link into the thread with a brief description of the error.
