CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

1 - Make sure you run latest TWRP Recovery (APK from @ElDainosor with LolliPop Compatibility or Zip/Img from @Caio99BR with LolliPop Compatibility)
2 - Download the latest Release
3 - Download GAPPS of your preference
4 - Place in the card
5 - Reboot to recovery
6 - Make backup of Nandroid
7 - Wipe Data/Factory Reset
8 - Install the latest Release
9 - Install GAPPS
10 - Reboot
11 - Enjoy !

Downloaded and installed the ROM CyanogenMod 12.1 with Patch, faster than the normal install CyanogenMod 11 (4.4.4), home screen no lag, cranked up the DEVELOPER OPTION to let more optimized if possible, the browser used to access the TECMUNDO (Brazilian site) did not lag, I did all this without gapps and without nunhum other installed app, apparently all normal, bad with gapps can give lag because of google apps and some other apps like whatsapp, what happened cmg in CM11, which brought me back to STOCK ROM, that I will use this rom and install gapps her and download apps q use in my daily life, the cell used was Lg E425F, I am BR kkk .. optimize more rom is possible to use apps that require more E425f hardware that sucks ..! Caio99r , Sou brasileiro e testei a rom, e cara .. eu usei a cm11 e dava lag no e425f, ficaria ótima se você optimizasse ela o máximo que der, Gostei dela mais como não posso usar de tudo nela to voltando pra rom stock, mais assim que ela tiver 100% cê da um alô ai !! kkk Vlws.

I just flashed the latest CM12.1 from this thread.
Android is booting, I see the startup animation.
Then, a message appears "Android ist starting..."
An it says "Optimizing app 72 of 84"
The circle goes round and round, but nothing happens.
It was in this state for one hour now.
I reflashed, same result. Now with "Optimizing app 29 of 88"
Removed battery, still the same, now "Optimizing app 30 of 60"
If i repeat battery out/in, it stays finally at "Optimizing app 1 of 1"

Any suggestions?
