Hello Sicmosh

I installed your ROM yesterday and i've been messing around this morning. Wanted to give you some feedback.

1- fingerprint works as expected. First attemp it saved as fingerprint 3, didnt work. Deleted, added again, saved as fingerprint 7, works :)

2- Battery seems to be good. Using for 5 hours, have still 75%. Whatsapping, calls, browsing, folio APP (facebook), and so on. Its as good as Miui i would say. Thumbs up

3-snappy as hell. No lag what so ever. 1.5gb RAM free. Again, Miui standard. Very nice

4- the supposed camera bug, i dont know if you fixed it in the last build, but here it works. Videos and pictures without issues. Great

5- alarm clock fix. Simple to install, works. Got to my job on time (4:48). :p

6- despite wiping the things you said, i still got a lot of "Miui things" on my phone. Probably had to erase user data??

7- i have two simcards. On Miui i could edit the numbers. On cm 12.1 i can only edit the name and the colour... Any clue how to do it?

8- have a contacts backup made with easy backup, like i always do. Restored the backup but many contacts are missing. Is it some kind of synchronizing issue (i have nothing from google installed)? I will try to restore it again, maybe it will work.

9- some user complained about notification light not working... Not true. It works perfectly.

10- i dont have the international version of the phone (unfortunately), so i only have 4G LTE in the main cities. But today i had LTE in a city i never had before with Miui! Amazing!!!

I'll play a bit more with it during the day and get back to you with feedback.

Thanx a lot again for all the work. i'll be anxiously waiting for your stable release of cm13 :)

Cheers

Update:

8- was my fault. Used the wrong backup. LOL all the contacts are where they belong

11- my battery pack has 2 USB out ports (1A and 2A).
When i had Miui installed i used the 2A port because it was faster. With your ROM its exactly the opposite. Maybe you'd like to check this even tho its nothing to worry about. Most of the people have a 1A port anyways on their battery packs

Cheers Sicmosh

How to root ?

Gửi từ Redmi Note 3 của tôi bằng cách sử dụng Tapatalk

Open up the dialer app on your phone (Make sure it's on the official MIUI ROM!), write in there #root*#, call the number, should work.
If it doesn't, reboot your device, do it again, but after that wipe all user data. After you reboot, you should have root.
You can check if it worked or not by using Root Checker

first of all
sicmosh, what a great thing you've done here.
i know thousands of people in my country alone that are using your ROM. you need more credit for all the work you have done.. god bless

second,
i found that my 2g on this rom are kindda bad
wifi are making wakelocks if low on reception, it scans for a better network

uppon closer inspection i didnt see wifi scan interval on this roms buildprop. so i added one and set it to 3000, LOL
and voila. no more battery drain, for you guys who are experiencing excessive EINT wakelocks , try out the things ive mentioned, i hope it worked out alright.

thanks all

no. you can't flash any custom roms on a locked bootloader. for locked, you can only flash some miui ports/variants (like mr andersons miui global port or mr tomatico's epic rom). you flash those with spflashtools.

At finally we build with a new kernel, and finally run cm13.0...
It was not easy, a lot of sleepless nights and a lot of strength is gone, but we did it.
I congratulate all with this and welcome to android 6.0!
The first alpha build cm13.0 is coming soon.

CyanogenMod is a customized, aftermarket firmware distribution for several Android devices. Based on the Android Open Source Project, CyanogenMod is designed to increase performance and reliability over Android-based ROMs released by vendors and carriers such as Google, T-Mobile, HTC, etc. CyanogenMod also offers a variety of features & enhancements that are not currently found in these versions of Android.

    Code:
    #include
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
     */

    INSTRUCTIONS

First time installing CyanogenMod 12.1 to your Redmi Note 3 or coming from another ROM:

    • Make sure you have unlocked your bootloader
    • Flash a custom recovery via SP Flashtool (any other installing methods will do, just make sure you have TWRP recovery installed)
    • Push GApps (arm64) and the CM 12.1 zip to your device
    • Boot into Recovery
    • Do all wipes (dalvik cache, cache, system, data)
    • Flash the CM 12.1 zip from SD card
    • Flash GApps for Lollipop from SD card
    • Reboot (be patient, "optimizing apps" takes a while)
    • Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
    • Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!
