Thanks for your work @VortexHD.
After having to reinstall crashed Havoc 4.6 anyhow I thought I might test this.
Full wipe with "Format Data" then flashing Vanilla+BitGapps64+Magisk.
ROM feels quite snappy.
Will keep testing furthermore.

Couldn't find options for:
Showing network speed in stat bar,
swithing buttons in nav bar,
turning on advanced reboot.
Are these three options existing at all or not included?

Will FM be included in future builds?

Hi thanks for trying out the ROM. Glad your enjoying it.

Network speed in satus bar can be found in: Settings, Customizations, Status Bar
Switching Naviation bar buttons can be found in: Settings, Customizations, Buttons
Advanced Reboot can be found in: Settings, Customizations, System

As for FM radio that will be included as soon as it's fixed for lineage.

First of all ty so much vortex & all the developpers for ur projects to keep our lg g5 alive... i was just wondering if it's possible for you to mod the kernel of Dot os & add more governors to it?

knowing that there are 2 types of kernels which i've learned about by reading on forum (EAS & HMP) & trying every Rom & Kernel from 7.1 to 11 beside kernel managers........... yet the only thing i could do on every eas kernel is underclock the cpu only becuz if u change governor to interactive for example the kernel will go nuts & all cores go max frequency & battery drain quickly & device overheat as if the kernel is read-only & refuse tampering with it.

what i wish for is an EAS or HMP kernel completely hybrid which i can use different governors on it (cpu / gpu ) io schedulers.

ty vortex u have my full respect and gratitude (y)

Thx very much.
Just tested a totally dirty (not wiping anything) installation which worked very well.
Will keep on testing.
Not using AOD btw.

Usually using OpenCamera, is G-Cam better for G5 or at all?

I would love to be able to help with this but I have no idea how to work with kernels unfortunately.
I do know that @Stealth1226 is doing some work on the kernel for Project Lighthouse but not sure if its any of the things you mentioned.

Is the AOD actually the native one (which the G5 has an actual extra processor and display part for)?

The eye protection option that changes the screen color to orange (can't remember the name), doesn't work and completely darkens the screen, making the phone completely unusable, only a reset to factory settings via TWRP helps. Maybe it's just me (2 times flashed system (clean flash) and 2 times same thing) as if someone can check and write if it works or is broken. Version of course 5.2

Made a clean install yesterday only ROM +Bitgapps.
Happened on mine as well.

"Styles&Wallpapers" keeps stopping.
"Customization" crashing directly after selecting it.
Can't turn on "Advanced reboot"

5.1.3 seemed more stable.
Trying to restore that.

The DotOS team have stopped building due to alot of bugs in the source. I will release a new build once everything is fixed.

This issue your having is related to the stock wallpaper being to big for the device. You can get around this by setting a different wallpaper using the gallary app and when it asks what app to use to set it use "Gallary" because "Customizations" will crash. This should then allow you to use the customizations app again

Too bad, because this feature helps a lot with the screen ghosting issue.

As I successfully restored 5.1.3 I will stick to that until next release is published.
Thx to the team anyhow keeping this device up-to-date.

    CLEAN FLASH/First Time Installation :

Download the latest build (Both Vanilla [Non-gapps] and Gapps builds are available)
First Make sure recovery is installed. (LineageOS recovery works fine as of now)
    Reboot to recovery
Make nandroid backup (Not Necessary, but just in case if you lost somewhere)
    Perform Factory Reset/Format
Choose - Apply update from ADB
then sideload the lastest build - adb sideload latest-Build.zip
package sideloads till 47% and you can skip Signature verification.
    Reboot to System

    DIRTY FLASH :
    Download the latest build
    Reboot to recovery
    Flash the latest build
    Wipe Cache
    Reboot

Note: If upgrading from 5.0.* to 5.1.* a clean flash is required.

Note: GApps only has to be flashed once whereas Magisk/Su is to be flashed every time you Dirty Flash the OTA Update.

After looking into the problem with the NFC not working, I have found a Workaround!
This allows you to have fully working NFC functionality on any ROM including DotOS, Project Lighthouse, Havoc OS and LineageOS. It is a permanent fix as long as you don't go back to stock, If you do go back to stock you have to repeat the steps again.

    1. Download LineageOS 15.1, The ROM of your choice and any extras.
    2. Reboot to Recovery
    3. Format Data
    4. Reboot to Recovery
    5. Wipe Dalvik, System, Data, Internal and Cache
    6. Flash Lineage 15.1
    7. Boot and setup LineageOS
    8. Check NFC is Working
    9. Reboot Recovery
    10. Format Data
    11. Reboot to Recovery
    12. Wipe Dalvik, System, Data, Internal and Cache
    13. Flash the ROM you want and any extras.
    14. Boot and Setup
    15. You Should have working NFC!

LineageOS 15.1 can be found here: https://xdaforums.com/t/rom-h830-h850-rs988-unofficial-lineageos-15-1-for-g5.3806842/

I am not sure why this works but @etmatrix believes that flashing from the Stock ROM (8.0.0) to anything higher without using a ROM of the same android version first locks the NFC functionality.
LineageOS 15.1 runs Android version 8 which is why we are using it.
