Don't provide root permissions to the Settings app and don't change SELinux state. Second one is the problem, you may loose autofocus if you wouldn't switch it

Found it odd that settings requested root access, didn't know why but heck it's settings why not...
I didn't change the SELinux state though.
Let me recover my backup again.

Yeah, I set it to permissive and it's working again. Heads up to sicmosh I guess.
I knew SELinux setting was changed but I didn't expect it to interfere with the fingerprint functionality. Learn something new everyday.

This rom is great, my only problem is I can't install cyanogenmod themes, they uninstalled automatically and show a error message "theme can't be installed", i use this rom for a week and I doesn't see a major bug. Thanks developer for this great work

This is RR, not CM.
Based on CM, sure, could be, but doesn't necessarily have to support CM themes.
I personally liked RR's theme engine more.
I sold my RN3 about 2-3 months ago, so I don't remember how to get to the theme engine exactly, but you should have an app called "Themes" in the app drawer.
If not, tap&hold on your homescreen till you get into editing mode, and at the bottom select 'Theme'.
Your are really wonderful! I have never seen a rom before.
Battery usage, themes, animations are perfect. Pitch black is recommended
But it would be super if the new version came.

we still have Smosia fighting with RIL and Sicmosh promised to build a fresh build as soon as it get fixed. If our device would be dead I'll tell you
Wait. For some reason I always thought Smosia is Sicmosh's other name. I assumed they are the same person. My bad.
Have there been any updates to RN3 MTK since the end of January? I have sold mine, and got a 1+3T, however I'm curious about the progress of the development.

Oh yeah, my bad, I completely stopped following this thread for a few weeks, when I came back, I read somewhere that Sicmosh sold his RN3, got a Mi 5, and mentioned that RN3 development felt like a nightmare to him.
When I was still following it thought, I only knew about Sicmosh as an active developer, so when I read that he's gone, I thought that development completely died for this phone.

INSTRUCTIONS
First time installing RR to your Redmi Note 3 or coming from another ROM:
- Make sure you have unlocked your bootloader
- Flash a custom recovery via SP Flashtool (any other installing methods will do, just make sure you have TWRP recovery installed)
- Push GApps (arm64) and the RR zip to your device
- Boot into Recovery
- Do all wipes (dalvik cache, cache, system, data)
- Flash the RR zip from SD card
- Flash GApps for Lollipop from SD card
- Reboot (be patient, "optimizing apps" takes a while)
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!
DON`T WORKS:
- 4G works only on SIM1, for SIM2 is available only 2G
- Goodix fingerprint sensor
