Looking forward to greater developments for the MTK Note 4! Cant wait to get rid of MIUI :) Thank you in advance to those of you awesome people out there cooking roms for the phone !

Haha dude you seem a little bit angry lollll it's just a phone and a lot of people here will replace it anyway in a year or so.

You can just leave this thread, sell your phone and let us enjoy our time with this beautiful and very fast phone, which costs less than 200$. ;) You seem frustrated. :rolleyes:

Like seriously this phone (mtk) has two A72 cores which the SD version doesn't have and that's what makes this phone so fast so I'm not even complaining about the lack of development since I knew that it won't get that much development when I decided to buy this.
No need to cry about source code now, we knew exactly that this is going to happen when we bought a phone with MediaTek processor inside.

Fast and HOT due to 20nm fab.

With cyanogenmod and various Governor and hotplug we can select, this hot and powerful cpu could be more frugal

I have decided not to buy this phone specifically cos i cant have a much fun flashing roms on it.

its useless to a flashaholic.
might as well buy a huawei or asus or ****e iphone

    CyanogenMod 14.1​

    CyanogenMod is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

    All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    This is a ROM in development, at this time it has many bugs, this is not for end users. I'm making it available just in case someone wants to help the development, by providing patchs and detecting bugs (with logs).
