Thanks for the explanation. I was really trying to use the word "objective" meaning "target", "goal" or something like this. Not just direct, but direct to the right point. You are right, although I am sure you have a higher level of english than me (I am "basic") and I know this is not the right topic, I would appreciate if someone whose first language is english could confirm that the word "objectivity" is not understandable or correct in that context.

Already done that before using 3.1.1.0 from LuK1337 and still got Error 7.
I am using firmware version WW_21.40.0.2214 got from official Asus website.

I had the same trouble.
Try flashing a zip from this thread, go through the comments and someone initiated a conversation to fix this particular issue to change the firmware.
It worked for me and was able to override this '' error7''
But im not sure which thread it was, even though its a thread of cm14,it works perfectly.
Please go through the comments.
Do your homework. happy to help more if i get time to go through the whole list, but it's hectic days these days as im working around the clock

I'm a bit concerned about few questions.
I'm a novice when it comes to builds, I wanted to know when the build for Oreo would be available in the lineage OS main web page as official/unofficial as nighty builds.
Also, will the 9x9 security lock pattern would that be the same as in all the other builds?
In addition to these questions, the trouble of VOLTE still persists in this particular ROM which is a terrible conundrum although you did a great work building the frameworks.

Luke, I'm talking about the CyanLockScreen, the pattern where you can literally choose from 3x3 4x4 or 6x6, which were apparently embedded in all CM modes so far.
We can have some interesting pattern system from this particular pattern lock.
I did try my level best to render a 6x6 pattern.
Using xplode and instructions came along with it.
I even tried to install it several times. Moreover, flashed roughly 20 times to bring up the cyanlock.
I tried everything

I went to settings > security > pattern.
All I'm getting is a 3x3 default pattern.

Do I have to edit some system file to override this situation and get 6x6 pattern logic.?
I'm certain I can't find that particular screenshot you just got.
Or is it from another option where I would particularly select pattern grids in LINEAGE 15.1?

Latest build cannot boot up

I don't know why but anyone knows it? This problem is for lineage-15.1-20180213_050013-UNOFFICIAL-Z00T.zip and this build make my phone bootloop but previous build that I've installed lineage-15.1-20180203_063535-UNOFFICIAL-Z00T.zip was running well

Edit: I've tried build from 10-12 february and all of it cannot bootup what's happening?

sound is work. algorithm :
1.apply patch ahal-tfa9887
2. copy files:
/system/vendor/lib/tinycompress_vendor.so to /system/lib/
/system/vendor/lib64/tinycompress_vendor.so to /system/lib64/
3. rename this files
/system/lib/tinycompress.so
/system/lib64/tinycompress.so
4. check permissions to this files
5. reboot and have a sound!
sauron audio mod is work link. viper4android for magisk is work.

Speaker on ze601kl still does not work after applying fga9887.zip and I cannot find those files in my system. There is only "tmp" directory under /system directory and I cannot find any "tinycompress*.so" file. Could you enlighten me on how to make speaker works on my ze601kl? Thanks.

stuck on ASUS logo and then looping the same thing

idk all of the build 14.1 and 15.1 build since 9-13 february build not work and now 17 february build isn't work too only stuck on asus logo and then back again. it's install nothing on internal storage and I don't know what's the problem because I have nothing to report because only empty storage but with old build my phone can work as usual and other ROM too like AOSP is working either. Is anyone here facing the same problem like me?

Help: No Sound on ze601kl even after libtinycompress fix

who cannot have a sound on the last build lineage-15.0-20170910-UNOFFICIAL-Z00T / Zenfone 2 Laser (Z011D) - ZE601KL /
1. flash zip workaround
2. rename 2 files (root operation)
/system/vendor/lib/libtinycompress_vendor.so to libtinycompress.so
/system/vendor/lib64/libtinycompress_vendor.so to libtinycompress.so
and set valid attributes to files.
reboot..and we have a sound!!

upd. Attention! the group of switches "other sounds and vibration"(vibrate on tap & touch sounds) affect sound is off. all sound! and not just what is switched by the switch.

I have tried your fix on my asus ze601kl with lineageOS 15.1 installed and yet no sound is coming out.

i noticed that for ze601kl phones, all sound fixes works on OREO roms that has kernel 3.10.49

But all the sound fixes fail on all other OREO Roms based on kernel 3.10.108

if only i could get sound to work on my ze601kl for any OREO 8.1 rom i would be so happy.

i play music alot but want android 8.1 on my phone.

I have tried the (ahal-tfa9887.zip) fix on my asus ze601kl with lineageOS 15.1 installed and yet no sound is coming out.

I have also tried copying libtinycompress.so from vendor to /lib and /lib64, yet no sound. :crying:
