I have tried your fix on my asus ze601kl with lineageOS 15.1 installed and yet no sound is coming out.

i noticed that for ze601kl phones, all sound fixes works on OREO roms that has kernel 3.10.49

But all the sound fixes fail on all other OREO Roms based on kernel 3.10.108

if only i could get sound to work on my ze601kl for any OREO 8.1 rom i would be so happy.

i play music alot but want android 8.1 on my phone.

I have tried the (ahal-tfa9887.zip) fix on my asus ze601kl with lineageOS 15.1 installed and yet no sound is coming out.

I have also tried copying libtinycompress.so from vendor to /lib and /lib64, yet no sound. :crying:

i Use asus zenfone 2 laser ze601kl.

What is the last stable version with 3.10.49 kernel? Checked till "lineage-15.1-20180210_073625-UNOFFICIAL-Z00T.zip". All of them have v108 kernel thus speaker fix is not working. Can you/anyone suggest me a stable version? Thanks in advance.

I'm dropping 15.1 support for Z00T/Z00L as I'm no longer interested in working on it.

One final speaker fix for 601 users would be a great help. Seems that provided fix is incompatible with kernel version 3.10.108+.

Only Lineage OS 15.0 and this build in particular --> lineage-15.0-20170905-UNOFFICIAL-Z00T.zip

that I was able to find which is an Oreo 8.0 rom based on kernel 3.10.49+

And the speaker fix works fine on the above build although the ROM is such an early build with Lots of missing features e.g double tap notifications bar to lock screen etc.

If only we can ever have a oreo 8.1 rom for Z00T that is based on kernel 3.10.49+,
all our speaker problem will be solved.

Thank you for all your work to date with Z00T. It's not always easy to find consistent development (or any development, for that matter) for the less popular devices, but the ZF2 Laser has really benefitted from your efforts. If you don't mind my asking, what does this mean for the 14.1 builds?

Not sure but did you try delta gapps with the .removesetupwizard file? I guess that might help

LineageOS15.1 GPS issues...

im using zenfone 2 selfie, i tried LineageOS 15.1 but GPS takes toooooooo long to fix my position and even then its very unstable... and i just need it so... other than that UI just crashes switching between open apps...
well just went back to LineageOS 14.1 and those issues are gone...
Just hope these issues will be fixed for LineageOS 15.1, then i will give it a try again

Asus Z00UD/ZD551KL(Z00T)

I have the selfie model and screen flickering happened to me after flashing, using stock rom doesn't give flickers but these does even in Nougat version ...especially in high brightness you would notice it right away in my upper right side of the screen....also my recent button doesn't work...the systemUI stops and just send me back to the lockscreen... but if i press home first and access the recent apps through there it is fine....WHY???

Which Rom are you using due to high density ppi we are facing the screen flickering just Keep the brightness in auto and use this lineage is 15.1 project is closed so no more improvements and no more development install the nougat lineage 14.1 build latest build use that and wait for another roms of 8.1

I do not understand why lineage version 14.1 (7.1.2) works
on the ze601kl with a 3.10.108+ kernel ??? ...

Yesss!!!!!!!, it works perfectly well on this rom --> https://downloads.aospextended.com/Z00T. Which are all Oreo 8.1.0 rom for Z00T phones based on firekernel r2.2 (3.10.108+).

Somehow it does not work directly on lineageOS 15.1 also based on 3.10.108+.
But if you just download and dirty flash AOSP-Extended-Z00T ROMs on top of your existing lineageOS 15.1 rom and then apply the Superbezo Sound patch, then you will have your sound working fine and well.

I have personally tested and tried all these and it works great.

I dirty flash AOSP-Extended-Z00T on my lineageOS 15 and then applied the superbezo sound patch and everything works fine.
I did not lose any files and now I have android 8.1.0 with kernel 3.10.108+ as my daily driver.

Well ... that is not quite what I meant as this does not sound like a maintained ROM but rather like a single working ROM
