Downloaded and installed. As expected, a wipe ( or using CSC, not Home CSC) is required. Since I got the 10+ I haven't done a clean install , so besides the visual dark theme, it feels like the phone is responding quicker. Pretty sure it isn't placebo, but a result of starting all from scratch. Thanks for the link to Mega to download. Feels a bit like the good old flash OCD days .. :cowboy:
Can you take a few screenshots ? also is the only difference the theme?

Yes, theme is pretty much it. And some response improvements. Somehow feels better. You will love all carrier customization like wifi calling (which is miss).

Very cool downloading. It really is just a theme. Doesn't look like there is more to it. I wonder if it will get Android 10 upgrade at the same time.
Well, if you try to 'update' it , it does not rant it is 'not supported' so there is a fair chance it will take an OTA, but it also may be a 'naked' OTA and the theme will be lost. One thing for sure is something is different. First the file was 7gig, not 4.5... then it needed a re-paritition (hence only clean install). And now the phone is really faster and more responsive than I recall before. So is it really just a theme ? I have my doubts.

You feel it's faster than your previous flashes? I know phone is always faster right after a flash.

BTW once you unzip it, both stock firmware and Star Wars edition AP files are the same size. The CSC file in the Star Wars edition is a lot bigger, maybe a more complicated country code?

No clue, but yes, and that's what failed you (and me) trying to use the HOME_CSC that is not re-paritition this portion, and as a result cause the annoying failure.

Honestly- since I got the phone I have not cleaned flashed so maybe the phone slowed down over time, and this new fresh clean flash took it back to where it was. It is also not a scientific statement, more like a 'feeling' but it is noticably faster.. nothing to do with the dark theme, of course .

What's in the new CSC ? No clue.. sure not complicated country code because it is supposed to be same old XAA when you flash it, then the local SIM forces a re-do (to TMB in my case). Wish Sammy would have some log file somewhere public.

I haven't flashed yet. The potential delayed Android 10 update is holding me up. When you click on update it says update is not supported?

How's everyone's opinion of this firmware version after a few days of use? Is it worth it just to get the Star Wars themes and transitions?
As I stated several times already, it also made my phone noticeably faster. It respond quicker to open apps, it connects quicker to the internet, and it feels better. I have been on the Android 10 and clean flashed this one, and it is by far better.. I can't tell if this is because the clean flash, just lucky , or biased feeling , however, I don't recall such responses even when I got the phone out the box when I got it. On the looks of it, I like the Star War appearance.. so for me it is a very positive opinion of look and feel. Battery life is good, nothing negative on this firmware and it is a great phone to begin with.. happy camper report...
