Hey guys, I flashed this earlier, and have been using it all day.

I'm running the version with the edited script on a stingray Xoom, I was originally running rogue touch recovery, which caused me to have errors with the symlinks during install. After switching over to eos recovery it installed successfully.

Looking forward to eos 3.0

Has anyone found a fix for the system not being able to read the SD card? I tried doing a master reset and wiping the SD card, and still no luck. I can read the SD card in Recovery but if I go to storage settings on the Xoom when its booted up it crashes instantly and also it won't let me save any images off of the browser because it says I have no SD card. (Which is weird, what about the internal storage?)

Well I downloaded something successfully earlier but now I'm getting this error too. Weird because everything was working fine earlier and now I'm also getting the message that I can't download things from the browser because I have no SD Card.

I am now running Jelly Bean on a WiFi Xoom. Checked Busy Box and Super User. I definitely have root using the file Solarnz directed us too. It took me a number of attempts but eventually the modded Jelly Bean ROM took hold. I ended up using Rouge Touch Recovery on the latest Team Eos Nightly on a totally clean system. Now to figure out Gapps. Thank you for starting this Solarnz and again to Michie for his work before Google released the code.

this works great! i used the links from twinkyz1979 post 42 rom, root, and gapps. all flashed fine in EOS recovery r6. thanks to all who make this possible, way too cool!

one thing i noticed is that i have two camera apps and two gallery apps, and when i try to select a wallpaper it shows both gallery apps. one is com.android and the other is com.google.android. the former doesnt have any pics in it, the latter does, syncs with picasa. both camera apps work fine, audio and wifi tethering work as well.

i also tried downloading large apps from the store and had no problem with that, also downloading from the browser to my internal sd (no external yet) and that was fine too

odd though i did not get the new default JB wallpaper? or is that just for the nexus 7?

also noticed the fstab file was named fstab.stingray

I was encountering this same problem, every time I try to flash a .zip from my external SD card, rogue recovery returns with a symlink fail. To flash .zip files from the external SD card you should try using a different recovery.
I was running into this as well my only work around i found was to either restore to a saved backup or flash another HC or ICS ROM then to reflash with JB. I have also found out this happens if you factory reset before flashing JB. So you may want to wait and do a factory reset after flashing JB.

Try flashing the modified gapps package it takes care of the multiple gallery/camera problem. Although the camera does not work on this yet or at least not for me. I use ES File Explorer with root and i can copy/write to and from my 32gb sd card the internal sdcard and the system without any problems. the external card is /storage/sdcard1 and the internal is /storage/sdcard0.

shouldnt we be able to use the .apk directly from the nexus? the reason that the G Now wasn't working on ICS was because it didn't have the JB system installed...

or am i confused somewhere?
I took the velvet.apk straight from a deodexed system on the nexus 7 XDA page and tried it out and it still didn't work. It probably requires other files from the system that i am not aware of right now.

k, at least it was tried. I believe we're still missing Voice related apps in the ROM, and they aren't in the gapps i flashed. as in the keyboard etc have no voice. i believe that is all that we need.

I thought USB Audio was this: code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=24614 which is what makes me think it will work, not just with docks.

You can do a bit of searching around headfi if you want to know more, but basically it's not.

Let me clear things up for the confused. NOTHING WORKS! Its not supposed to work. This build was a result of the first few successful compiles. Nothing more. I'd be willing to bet newer UNSUPPORTED builds pop up though. Maybe.
It does work, except for a few things. I've had no crashes since I installed it

i know not everything works but maybe we can stumble across something that might help as sort of a future reference kind of thing. i mean this might be what needs to be done because as far as i can see there is no mention of a set date for OTA and all google says is that they have no idea and it's up to the OEM if and when they update our devices. i know the xoom is supposed to get it but how many months will we have to wait for Moto or in my case both Moto and Verizon to get stuff done?

as for the jelly bean wallpaper, it FC when i tried to set it, i flashed the modified gapps and wallpaper at the same time after wiping cache and dalvik

I am not sure if it matters or not but i normally don't wipe dalvik cache and cache until after i have flashed.
