Did wifi work for you on wifi only xoom?

I have a wifi only xoom, and it worked perfectly for me.

Make sure you did a factory reset before flashing this.
I have a wifi only xoom. After flashing this the wifi won't connect. It stuck at "obtaining IP address"...

Any ideas?

Thank you.

This thread is very deceptive . There goes an hour of my life I will not get back. Just for future reference if a ROM breaks 3g service on a 3g device or breaks WiFi on a WiFi device it is obviously not compatible! You don't have to be a hotshot developer to get this concept. Change your listing like everyone has been asking you nicely to do!

^^^^ FAIL!! ^^^

For the love of God will a Mod or the OP fix the first post? This is a stickied thread in which this first post misleading states: "This can be flashed on any device, however the 3g/4g network connectivity will only work on the 4g xooms. Everyone else will be on wifi".

I got your back! This is absolutely missadvertised! Worse there are people defending it!? Wtf is wrong with you people!? Wrong is wrong stop taking things so personally, drop the semantics and change the freaking post!

I just tested this ROM on VZW 4G Xoom and the WiFi was not working for me either. It also appears to be a slightly older version than what Motorola is using now as it does not contain the newest Market update.

I was able to achieve the same result by pushing the stock images from the Motorola dev site via ADB, rebooting into recovery, then applying Solarnz's universal Xoom root update zip through recovery before booting my device. I'm not sure if this info helps you troubleshoot issues with this ROM.

These are the files I used:

MZ602 XOOM WiFi + Verizon LTE/4G
http://developer.motorola.com/products/software/

Universal Xoom Root
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1242241

Edit: Moto's site listed these images as posted 10/24/11, so they're definitely newer.

Sooo were you able to connect both 3g/4g AND wifi now with this setup? kinda unclear where it says you "acheived the same result" does this mean you acheived no wifi again? or acheived all 3 radios working? thanx...guess I could just try it for myself

Maybe, I was a bit unclear... what I was trying to say was that I achieved a fresh 3.2.2 stock/rooted install on my Xoom by using Moto's images and Solarnz's any root update.

My steps:

1.) Flash Moto's boot, system, and userdata images via ABD
2.) Flash Solarnz's modded CWR image via ADB
3.) Once flashing is confirmed complete, reboot Xoom by holding power + vol up
3.) Wait 3 secs after Moto logo appears, press vol down... you should see "Android Recovery" text in the top left, press vol up to boot into recovery
4.) Apply Solarnz's any root update zip file, and reboot
5.) Enjoy your stock 3.2.2 Xoom with root

Note: Make sure you have Solarnz's update ZIP on your SD card before you start

ok Thanx I'm guessing the results still stand with no wifi working yet. I will continue to chew through my alloted GB till some other time.
I have working 3G/4G and WiFi with my method. =)

I was more trying to report that even though I have a 4G Xoom, wifi was not working for me with the ROM posted in this thread because people were claiming it was only compatible with 4G Xoom. I was providing an alternative method for people who want it.

My first post has links to the files I used.

This rom breaks wifi on wifi only xooms. Plainly stated.

I was mislead by the title and flashed this wrong and ended up thinking I had a bum device. Someone please change the title as it's obviously misleading a lot of folks into thinking their device will function fully on this rom.

Please.

i moved from tiamat to this stock rom.

without flaming, i really did not understand in the first post this was not for wifi only.

Glad it worked for you! I'm guessing you get that error using Rogue Recovery? I think it has something to do with some feature(s) in that recovery that require certain features from the custom kernels (like USB OTG maybe?) I get that too with a stock kernel, but haven't had time to troubleshoot it (using Solarnz's CWR for now), maybe this weekend... next week is finals, got a a 4.0 to protect... I should be sleeping right now=)
