EDIT: Look at the first post you quoted me on. Ask the maker of this ROM what gets moved to the SD and what stays on the phone memory. You'll have your answer.

err....without rooting you cannot install custom recovery...meaning, you cannot install ANY custom roms
So, rooting is necessary to install custom rom...even this one...

Are you on 2.2.1 or above...?

If yes then you need to downgrade to 2.2 via KDZ tool as 2.2.1 and above are not yet rootable.

Use a US one ..... and anyway, if you install this rom (optimusx1.1rom) or any other custom rom, you will not get your localized rom.


EDIT: Although you may get your particular language.

besides downloading this,
an alternative method to reach the original untouched wallpaper is:
-set any live wallpaper
-settings > applications > manage applications > [chosen live wallpaper] > force close > home button

The rom is great but would love it to be 2.3 :-D

lol mate, if you want a 2.3 just go for mik's or andy's
this rom is build for 2.2 and i guarantee its the most stable froyo on our optimus one

Clockmod doesnt support edfy script....
Just flash to AmonRa...

Note :
I use this ROM and combine with Franco kernel v14.2.2, it's very stable.... quite happy for the perfomance and the battery life.
