[ROM] [UPDATE] [V2.4] NEXUS [DT2W] [AOSP] [lite] [fast]

The NEXUS ROM was developed because of the lag of clean, lite and fast AOSP ROMs. I don't like the big ROMs that are heavy modified like Flyme OS or MIUI. I like a lite, Vanilla styled ROM a lot more. So i modified the official firmware for my personal use. But then i thought, why i don't share this with the community. I'm maybe not the only one, who wants a lite, clean and fast Vanilla looking ROM. This Project was born. The latest version (2.3) was rebuilded from scratch. This is the best what i can do on the official base from elephone. So the "Features" are also the "Changelog"

This is my Final Work on 5.1 Android base, and maybe also for the P8000. I think i will buy a OnePlus 2 in the near future...

Install the ROM with TWRP

based on official 5.1 03.12.2015 release

fixed DT2W issue while calling (will ask root premission on first call!!!)

The Manager of running applications (Home) can not close all applications with one touch, Maybe it's to do?
which package GAPPS installed ? (mini, micro)

Thanks for your contribution! Good to See this device is getting some love and attention from developers, as it is great considering its pricetag.

I have some trouble installing this on my phone though. Coming from newest Eragon base (think its 14.10) and wiping of course clean, after installing NEXUS.ZIP my phone bootloops. Still I see the fancy Elephone logo which looks awesome :good:
Any idea to solve this? Would really like to try this one out!

which recovery have you used ? i have worked with philz

no super mega wipe needed, just a normal factory reset. the installation script format the system partition, so the previous rom should not make problem

Too bad the ROM without WLAN can not install. Data connection is switched off after the installation.

Schade , kann das ROM ohne WLAN nicht installieren. Datenverbindung ist ausgeschaltet nach der installation.

ok i will create a add-on , which delete the setup. but you can also disable that. open the zip in 7z ( or other viewer ) an delete /system/priv-app/SetupWizard

and its ok if you shre it on the official forum. then more people can use it

and there are just some CM12 apps, the base is the official mtk elephone 09.09 release

Many thanks! It's always good to have several choices. Personally, I also prefer lean and clean ROMs.

Does this ROM support the important standard Android feature "Encryption"? Unfortunately, the stock ROM does not.

no sorry. but i'm sure, that we will get android 6 and some of us maybe have time for work on cyanogenmod, then we would have all the official features like encryption

@dr_root at first big thx for your work! is it possible to flash your rom over eragon 5.0 so that i save my apps and settings? or will i have a fresh clean system after flashing?

i would recomend to save app data with titanium backup and make a clean install
