You mean this part?

Update 10/02/11:

For existing users of the ROM, flash the 2.2GB_NoCG_31_39.sbf (Link below). This will flash the rest of the ROM apart from the part that stops the ROM from being downgradable and system - Don't worry your ROM will be as it was before after flashing - you won't loose any data.
It also isn't totally clear to me. What files are in the sbf file and what do they actually change to the RC2 version?

I'm on 3.4.2 right now, so what exactly would happen if i flashed 2.2 chinese .sbf? Since 3.4.2 is undowngradable.

Higgsy, so from now on instead of starting to flash from chinese sbf can we just flash the modded sbf you put up in case we brick our phone trying some modifications?.
This usually happens to me and I have to start off from Chinese sbf again.
Thanks for the work :)

I feel like there is an issue with dropping data connection (even if I got the H signal, I very often cannot get online) after WiFi has been used (this is RC2 with the mini SBF applied). I do not think this is a network or hardware issue as reboots reliably get me back online...

switched to this rom from jboogies since i had wifi issues there. though not fully deblurred it runs nice and smooth, bought launcher pro now and really like it.although adw is great too.

only thing id change is to add the possibility to delete included apps more easily like milestoneoc etc.

all in all great work! hope i can stick with this one

Love the rom, not a big fan of blurcontacts so I tried to install Contacts.apk pulled from my Captivate running Cognition Froyo build.

What I did:
install from sdcard - failed
adb install Contacts.apk - failed with: Failure [INSTALL_PARSE_FAILED_NO_CERTIFICATES]
Titanium Restore - wont restore system apk
adb push Contacts.apk /system/app, reboot - did nothing
install from /sysstem/app gives me:E PackageParser: Package com.android.contacts has no certificates at entry classes.dex; ignoring!

Sigh. Any idea how I can get this apk file onto my wife's phone?

How is battery life for you all? I am running mine on 300/23. 600/38. 1100/54 and it barely gets 18 hours with 3G on and generally got k9mail and the Google Services running in the background. Is it something I installed or is there another problem with the ROM?

I would support that, especially seeing that I consider setvsel to be a lot more useful than milestone OC and much easier to handle than the shell scripts...

No, because that sbf, doesn't have the system partition included

No issues here

probably not rom related, this gtalk issue is well documented around the internet, people seem to get it if they change their accounts from googlemail.com to gmail.com, amongst other things

bootanimation is in system/media.

Apps like milestone overclock etc can be easily removed from /system if you don't want them anymore

Remember these things are tied into the framework and may have dependencies on other things, so I would doubt taking from another phones rom would work.

You may get away with taking the contacts from something like the Nexus one or something running pure google

Battery life is spot on since I uninstalled widgetlocker - that app was sapping my battery. 3 days + with light to moderate usage, switching off data when not using it. If I keep data on I get about 2 days

Ok, I think I will flash mine again tonight (from scratch, including reflashing CN SBF). Right now, this is behaving far worse than Frozen Eclair ever did - There's just too much weird things going on. Worst case I may go back to 2.34 for now and hope for a proper EU FroYo...

battery life is about the same for me, 2-3 days on moderate use.

new issue: gmail doesnt sync directly after i switched data/wifi on. have to do it manually or wait till next new email comes in and is being pushed through.

and my phone randomly goes to standby, although the intervall for the screen to switch off is set to 30sec

/edit

fixed screen issue, switched off “pocket recognition“ :)

I'm pretty sure Cognition is using the stock 2.2 contacts. What I'm missing in the contat manager you include is easy access to the groups that I have all my contacts divided up into. Would you be willing to put stock 2.2 contacts into your rom?

Hi all,

I'm coming from HTC Desire to Defy and what I noticed is that Desire's battery behavior is different then Defy's during standby time.

What I want to say is that during the night Desire would loose 1% of battery charge every 4-5hrs and in Defy's case with Higgsy_Modded_3.4.2_GB_Froyo_RC2, heaviliy undervolted and forced to use vsel1 when screen is off looses 11% during 7hrs standby (that means 1,5% per hour).

I use Defy with similar settings as Desire, without blur services, without additional sync etc. During night I have Data off, Wifi off, GPS off, Bluetooth OFF etc.

My conclusion is that radio consumes way much power then Desire's radio. I have way better battery time using wifi and browsing than desire which means that undervolted OMAP CPU is better powersaver then Snapdragon CPU.

I would like to know what are your findings about this issue, and how different firmware/baseband version affect this.

I'm coming from 2.21 firmware and my baseband version is EPU93_U_00.56.00
CPU settings are [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] threshold 80% (stable)

P.S. I'm satisfied with Defy battery time. It is comparable with Desire's. However I'm sure it could be even better. :p
