After reinstalling, mine lives for about 24h (down to 20% at that point) even with JuiceDefender. Maybe I have a different definition of what constitutes moderate use (I very rarely talk but I am reading facebook in class :) but to me, that's kinda unsatisfactory.

I just flashed this last night. It's quite good. I am in Telstra in Australia and have used the CN 3G Fix.
Only issue so far is a fair few freeze ups, and a reboot while in the middle of a received phone call. Any ideas? I suspect it may be launcher pro....but could be something else...

Ok I think I found the culprit for the battery use. setvsel had a bug where it continuously polled the battery temperature which used a lot of power. This should be fixed now, let's see :)

Are you using set vsel? if so have you removed the setscaling.sh and install-recovery.sh, also if you are using setvsel are you sure your vsels are high enough.

I haven't used setvsl or any overclock, just how it is out of the box...
Seems more stable since that reboot though....
I just don't have the time or energy to go trying all the different roms etc- it was mainly the battery life that prompted me to.. It us definitely better with this....i used to flash 3 roms a week on my desire, this is a bit scarier with the risk of undowngradeability....

I've gotten up to the last step.. just need to flash 2.2GB_NoCG_31_39.sbf.. and I get this error:

I have the phone on the right mode (powerup with volup). Is there something else I need to do? Can I use the phone without that file flashed?

EDIT: Ehh. It doesn't boot at all anyway, my first attempt to boot after restoring your ROM results in a hang on the Motorola logo. For reference, I was coming from a stock clean 2.26 Telstra Eclair ROM. Followed your instructions exactly.. what can I do now?

Anyone tried with 2.51 version

Hi

I note Higgsy's warning about not tried on 2.51 build and there were 1 or 2 posts asking a while back, but has anyone since tried flashing this ROM over a 2.51 build (I have the Vodafone ROM version)?
Cheers
