Is it my impression or low brightness is still too bright?

have you updated your bootloader to 4.4.2 (kitkat)?

If you don't know what version bootloader you have, just flash it to be sure.


Use the V50020D bootloader here:

I hadn't updated the ROM since July. Just updated it a few days ago, dirty flashed the rom+gapps , did I have to flash the bootloader again?

It seems like you are not sure which version your bootloader is. The back lighting in the kernel was updated to the kitkat bootloader about the same time as your last update. Make sure your recovery is bumped (by installing the latest official version of TWRP), then apply the bootloader update (20D) again to be sure.

yesterday I flashed the latest nightly. I was browsing 9gag a bit afterwards aaand ...black screen.
Do I have to change any settings or something?
Would it make sense to flash the latest fefifofum version?

you may need to factory reset. Fefifofum cm12.1 has the same fix, but you can try both.

The unnoficial version from fefifofum don't have the black screen issue, and as far as I know, the official version had that problem corrected! Try the fefifofum version and see if it corrects the ethernet problem too.

I run Usb Host Diagnostic and tells me that there was some problems with the rom.

Same problem here trying to run a usb micro tacx device without success! The apps that check if the usb host are running tell me that the sub host is not supported..

Do you have any news on this ? or do you find any other rom that is working ?

No. I have moved to CM 13 that hasn't problem like this.

I wonder which is better cm12.1 official or unofficial CM13, otherwise remove anyone knows the problem of black screen in official CM12. incidentally solution than installing the unofficial version cm12.1.
because if you give me a help, sorry for my English
