Thanks! I hope i do not have to do a clean install?
That depends. Did you read the install instructions on first post?

Smooth as butter with the latest release. Thanks! All the little annoyances I used to have with official cm seems to be fixed with this rom. :)

Edit: the battery management is much nicer on this rom than on official cm also.
Thanks! Nice to hear about battery management. I spend so much time with usb connected for debugging that it's hard for me to tell about battery... :eek:

Yesterday i did a clean install of your ROM with Delta's gapps. Everything works perfectly. An unexpected bonus is ability to install apps from Amazon Appstore without unmounting SD card. I acted like a newbie and actually did not read the information about install. Sorry for that. How do i get home i install the new version. Thanks again!

does the quickremote app work for anyone, not sure if it is my tablet or my tv?^^

and is anyone else having problems with hwa on videos? this issue appears even on stock cm.
when i go forward and backward in a video for a few times, audio and video became async, plus the video starts to lag.

The quickremote app is added for testing purposes because the infra red driver works with this kernel. The problem is that the system development kit for the quickremote app does not include open source for the framework necessary to use quickremote. If someone ever figures out how to add the necessary framework to our system, then the remote control app should work.

With what video app are you having the async issue? With what video formats do you have the issue?

Hi,
I can not get working the IR remote. I have tried a this app and many other.

Yes, IR remote is not working and it's a known bug, already described in post 2. I don't think there is any aosp based rom for the gpad in which IR remote is working yet.

thanks for replying.

MX Player Pro + codec (ac3 + dts) -> mkv /mp4 -> h.264 + ac3/aac
here mostly the lag happens

vlc -> same video/audio
strong async
i think vlc is still in beta? anyway i only used to verify whether the lag is an MX or rom bug.

YES! I can connect to my 5Ghz WiFI with this ROM/kernel! It's been an issue for me ever since I started using 5.1.x based ROMs. The official and _infected CM12.1 builds (and several other 5.1.x ROMs) do not "see" certain 5Ghz channels, especially the higher channels. I saw this ROM and decided I'd give it a try..... tablet automatically connected to my 5Ghz WiFi :)

I'm unable to reproduce the bug you are having. I also use MX Player (no Pro) and tested with several mp4 and mkv files, no way to get async. Does anybody else have this issue? Could you send me by pm a video sample that gives you problems, or maybe a download link? Otherwise I will need a logcat and dmesg to see what's the error.

When using MX player, is there a difference between HW and HW+ enabled playback?

Testing with HW enabled uses the stock video hardware acceleration. HW+ could have issues.

Well uploading the movies wouldn't be legal, I guess. (Digitalised DVD collection)^^
Reproducing the MX lags takes some time (as mentioned async only in vlc).
I get them mostly after switching between some movies and scrolling forward and backward in time.
Here a video showing the "lags". since the last MX update it seems to be better.
edit: Drive link
First half with HW second SW, look at the stage when it rises.
Attached a log it should also include the vlc async issue.

HW+ seems better than HW, but as mentioned the lags only appear rawly and only after
many switches in the time line.

I had problems with async using HW+ after seeking through video. Switching to HW did not have async after seeking through video.

as mentioned no async with mx, the movie just starts to "lag", as if it skips some frames.
it feels like watching a movie on an old pc.^^

for me only sw fixes the issue.

Ok, so let's forget about vlc and HW+ in mxplayer, async it's their issue. About lags, I don't get any lag even when watching full hd videos, so digitalized dvds shouldn't lag either. I guess the problem has to do with the encoding and/or the media repos we use (which are included in cm sources). I will need a logcat to see what's the problem, but possibly there is nothing we can do about it...

so, issue resolved... it was actually my fault, I accidentally mixed my older encodes(xvid) and my newer ones(x264), so the issue appeared because of some faulty encoded movies.

I'm really sorry to have caused you trouble because of my bad organized movies. :(
