Hello, this is Resurrection Remix for LG G Pad X 8.0 built from source.

Resurrection Remix ROM is ultimately full featured , stable and combined with the best features of open source roms. We are also providing lot of awesome original Resurrection Remix ROM add-ons in the builds. Includes best of performance, customization, power and the newest features on your device!


TIP: Long press ReaderMode button to launch default Camera app. Quick press to take photo/video once app is open.

NOTICE: ROOT METHOD HAS BEEN REMOVED. MUST INSTALL MAGISK OR SUPERSU AFTER ROM.


Installation Instructions:

If coming from anything other than Resurrection you MUST factory wipe.

- Download the latest build
- Download Gapps
- Take a nandroid backup
- Recommended - Full wipe and factory reset
- Flash ROM using latest TWRP recovery <--3.1.1-0
- Flash Magisk or SuperSU for root
- Flash Gapps
- Reboot.
- Enjoy!


Update Instructions:

Only when coming from one RR nightly to another.

- Download the latest build of Resurrection ROM
- Take a nandroid backup
- Flash ROM using TWRP recovery <--3.1.1-0
- Flash Magisk or SuperSU for root
- Flash Gapps
- Wipe cache
- Wipe dalvik cache
- Reboot
- Enjoy!



NOTE: If you are having issues with SetupWizard force-closing try,

- Flash ROM using latest TWRP recovery
- Flash Magisk or SuperSU for root
- Reboot into ROM, once fully booted...
- Reboot back into recovery
- Flash Gapps
- Reboot

nope. magisk is the default root method for RR it comes installed. And to use OMS themes download Substratum app from google play. After installing Substratum and Kernel Audiuator from the Play store "Themes" and "Performance" will be shown in settings

Try:
factory wipe
Install ROM
Boot into the ROM
then reboot to recovery and flash gApps

I used the nano package. but I installed everything as I described above and I haven't had any issues. If this works, let me know and I'll update the OP instructions

you may need to let the ROM boot up once before flashing gApps. there may be an issue with the SetupWizard force-closing.

Lol I actually forgot about that button i haven't used it for so long. Unfortunately, no but, I am going to be looking into at least mapping it to the camera app or something until there's an option in Settings like in the Stock LgROM

To program that button you can edit the gpio-keys.kl file located in /system/usr/keylayout directory. "key 377 INFO" is what you are looking for and you're going to change INFO to something like CAMERA to launch Camera or MUSIC to launch Music app.

Here is a flashable fix for the TimeService force-close issue and the dead button to be mapped to Camera app

No problem, It's about time this device got some good ROMs running. Although all thanks go to the Resurrection and LineageOS maintainers.

OTA as in Settings-Configuration...?
OTA updates won't work through the ROM Settings until the ResurrectionRemix buildbot officially supports and is building v521
