Theres an advanced reboot menu that u can enable in settings.. i think magisk is built in so flashing supersu must have conflicted somehow
Hmm.. the instructions say to flash either Magisk or SU... :|

UPDATE" That advanced reboot menu is nowhere to be found in this rom... Maybe you have to be rooted already for it to appear?

Can someone tell me if the youtube app called "NewPipe" will play 2k/4k videos with this ROM, cause it won't with LOS. If you try, go to setting and there is a slider to allow 2k/4k.

Magisk is not built in anymore, read the OP.

edit: Nope it won't play 4k content.

What's the deal with USB audio routing on this tablet? I tried LOS and now RR, the micro usb jack doesn't route to an external DAC!? WTF :(

Any fix for this??? Arrrrgh

edit: So it works on the big USB connector, how convenient. :( Why the F doesn't it work on the micro usb connector !?

I used to run this rom for a long time but lately I got a lot of crashes maybe because of some Apk, so I decided to do a factory reset but unfortunately I got stuck in TWRP I tried to reinstalled the rom again from page 1, but same thing got stuck In recovery any solution?

UPDATE
I should Have read the tread better the solution was
an error in Twrp is there an upgraded version of TWRP for this tablet?
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/fota
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/misc
In terminal fix it but still getting Crashes since I am using a back up from / restore from TWRP

One of the strangest bugs I've ever seen

TL;DR: Tablet plugged in but not charging running RR nougat. ?!?

I recently bought a manufacturer refurbished v521 (might actually have been new overstock). It replaced a v521 I had used happily for over a year until the battery started to crap out. The first tablet was always rooted with TWRP running LG stock marshmallow or nougat. So I am very familiar with the device.

After struggling to get Resurrection on the new tablet (black screens, TWRP bootloops, etc.) I finally had everything working. Or so I thought.

Whenever I plugged the tablet into a charger, be it the bundled LG oem charger or various Samsung, Aukey, Tronsmart, etc. chargers, Ampere gave me plugged in but not charging. Wiggling the cable made no difference. Sometimes after a restart the tablet would charge again. But any time I plugged the tablet in again, I got the same weird report.

The odd thing was that the tablet would charge off a USB cable connected to a pc and MTP worked as expected. So that lead me to believe that the issue was with software since the port seemed to work for everything but charging. But in all my years of working with Android ROMs, I had never seen anything like this

I didn't think I could live with only charging the device when it was connected to the pc, so I began the laborious task of returning it to stock marshmallow so I could exchange it. Once I got it back on stock LG 6.0.1 it charged normally and now it is on 7.0 and charges normally.

So either RR has a weird bug or it is in Lineage and carried over. Be that as it may I will stick with LG stock since there aren't a lot of custom ROMs for this device. I'm glad I didn't cry wolf with the reseller before I reverted to stock.

Odd that no one else has reported this here.

Clean installs of both the latest LOS 14.1 and RR with minimum gapps and only Ampere for testing *on two different v521s (yes, i have two)* result in the same "plugged in but not charging" behavior. Restoring LG stock 7.0 re-enables normal charging on both. YMMV.

Update: CHANGELOG

Download: RR-N-v5.8.5-20180407-v521-Final.zip

There will be no further updates. May take 5-10min on first boot from clean install, be patient it WILL boot. If you already have RR installed a wipe shouldn't be necessary.
thank you for your hard work!
waiting your 8.1.0 android for v521!

Wondering. Tried to flash TWRP (posted in OP)...but it didn't work. So was trying to use TWRP Manager. I don't see the version for v521. Only the v500 x pad 8.3. Is that the same?
