Dirty Unicorns is a custom ROM built with stability in mind and optional customization. The idea to start this ROM began out of pure boredom around 4.1.2 on the EVO 3D and later turned into a form of an addiction (a good one) to see where we could go from there. We have since expanded to more devices to include the HTC One, Nexus 5, SGS4 and many more. We quickly realize that users loved what we were doing as well as other developers because it was done the right way. We've always had fun doing it and take pride in knowing that we've done it without having to bug the end user for donations to pay for server costs and/or any of those sob stories you hear. This ROM is 100 percent free and will remain that way.

Those wanting to use our ROM as a base are more the welcomed to do so but please maintained the credits/thanks below, do not ask for donations as it wouldn't be fair to do so considering and let us know as we often like to contribute to other projects.

uBHbp4C.png

As stated above, we love to maintain authorship but we also like to publicly praise those that have helped us along the way with our wonderful project. With that said, this wouldn't be possible without the work and help of those listed below :) THANK YOU ALL!!

| OmniROM | AOKP | CM | ChaOS | Paranoid Android | Slim ROMs | Preludedrew | Team Black Out | Official Testers / Translators |

Please check our gerrit/github for full credits/thanks of individual contributors
Believe it or not, we are human and we do forget things. If we have left someone out of the credit/thanks list, just PM us and we'll gladly add on to the list.

can i use a normal cwm recovery with this rom, or it must be TWPR?

Screenshots are in the OP. But because I'm in a good mood today, here you go: http://imgur.com/a/KRhfq#0

These are from 4 months ago so yeah there are some changes.. But you can see all the features in the OP.

Have fun :)

Sorry for asking and wasting your time but in the OP the screenshots were provided so inconspicously that I totally ignored them. Thanks for the link. I will surely give it a try when I will be in the flash mania again, and I am sure it will be pretty soon ;)
Keep up the good work :good:

Hi @GIJS053 & @chasmodo,

Thank you so much guys for making this happen on the i9100 (S2).... Although I don't have this phone myself, I know a couple of mates who do... And I've been showing off the old / last build, back in Feb of this year, showing what it can do compared to stock rom. And showed them what the latest version does (thanks to Chasmodo) on the N7000 (Note).

So am well pleased to see its officially supported on this device now. Can downloaded the latest build, and show them what they are missing...

Thank you, Lister

This device will no longer be maintained by me since I've sold the device.
There probably will be a new maintainer once Android L drops.

I'll keep this thread online but won't be replying or updating.

    I need your full attention!

First things first. New build is up. Bumped up to V7.7. Available as always on my site (http://www.niimdroid.com/S2/V7.7/)
    Quick changelog:

    - Updated the ASCII art for flashing

    - Many "under the hood" changes

    With that said..
There were some pretty big discussions in the DU team last week. The following two changes came out of these discussions:
    1. We're now also posting our ROMs on http://www.rootzwiki.com
    2. We are going to be doing weeklies

    About the weeklies:
This is pretty big for us considering what we've said in the past about nightlies...... (For the ones that didn't knew this: WE DISLIKE NIGHTLIES)
We STILL believe that nightlies (at least for us and what we do) are pretty useless but have also come to the realization that it may not be reasonable to make people wait 2-3 weeks for an update that has a fix or something important.

With that said, we've setup Jenkins and we're rolling out the weeklies!

Here's the link where you can expect DU weeklies
    http://download.dirtyunicorns.com/

Here's our jenkins if you want to keep up with what's going on :)
    http://jenkins.dirtyunicorns.com/

Thank you for your continued support!
    DU Team
