Yes fully understand, just wondering if there is any problems that needs to be resolve, the current build already quite solid though, just random freeze if the phone is idle for sometime, i suspect is something about lineage os / aosp as i've also encountered the same with RRDevs have lives matethey do this for free for us, don't pester them. I'm sure if he plans to continue the project that another build will come along shortly, but if not that's ok too. He still provided something asking for nothing in return. Be patient and as always, be thankful.

using this rom for 2 day now, battery live is great hope more features will added like the old Vanir Jellybean on Galaxy Nexus day
Awaiting feedback for nightlies... they have been added to Commotio as of today. And Vanir a day or 2 back
Right now we are more focused on stability than bloated features. We have more than LNG, but less than others.
Aqua is on thr list for this week.
New nightlies should hopefully fix that.... since no log I'm purely guessing the etiology

Most ROMs have some kind of logo, theme. Its not super important but still nice to have :good:
That can all be changed or is it permanent like when you go to settings and it's always there?

Everything can be changed. Its like CM 14.1, not that many settings/minimal but smooth !

Edit: just dirty flashed and got a message "vanir is starting" and ui does not load
Edit 2: @DHO I've installed a clean version of the latest nightly build and it seems as incredible as the previous one. Seriously, prior to this ROM I couldn't think that my device could last that long without any performance hiccups. A minor problem I have found though: I've been using pixel launcher because I like it but when I open the app drawer the status bar icons stay white on white and I can't see them. Just this! Keep up the good work
Edit 3: Even though we have some scripts in init.d folder, init.d does not seem to be working because the scripts don't get executed

This has snap camera? And is the battery bug still present with incorrect readings?
As answered above, Commotio is my personal take on Vanir. Presently it is almost a new ROM.... Substratum, boot scripts, cherry-picking tools, and 100s of commits from the tweak branches on github.

Launcher seems to be ok now with the latest build. Init.d does not work again.
Try using su/su.d for scripts it seems to be more compatible with nougat. Also, please keep an eye on the latest kernel build https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-4c/development/kernel-help-make-kernel-t3552434
