It seems to work for everyone else.
Since I can't reproduce it try following:
Restore your 5.7.0 backup and then push the files from the 5.8.0 ota one by one and try to find the file causing the issue.

Also if you could pull a logcat while you getting a call would help

Hello everyone, is there a way to hide a pulldown notification without hiding the tray icon?

Also, I can't find how to hide "do not disturb" notification.

I think custom auto brightness doesn't work. I've put all slider to the minimum, I see how low the screen is, but when I back out of the screen, screen get brighter even if no slider is set to this level. This is not new, reported on various version since 3.x, but it seems to always be broken. Unsure why though. In the meantime, I do it manually instead. Power saving off.

I was wondering if something could be changed with quiet hours. I love this feature, but it would be great to be able to have different schedule, like one for the week end and one for the week, or one per day (or categorize based). Like for me, on the week day, qh is 11-6, but on the week end, it's more 12-10.

When I plug my phone before quiet time, with the option to dim led while charging (thus having it not active), it will not dim the led when quiet time start. At the sametime, once quiet time end (or before quiet time end) and you unplug the phone, the led will stay active as if it was still charging. Only way to remove it then is to reboot the phone or activate quiet hours, plug the phone, unplug then disable quiet hours.

During the rom installation in aroma theres an option to add additional keyboards.
And yeah, you just need to run the installation again...and you dont need to worry about, you data won't be touched.

Sorry nevermind my BS i posted.
The Manual mode works fine.
A slider can only move in a narrow space defined by the value of the previous and next sliders. It can only go as low as the value from the previous slider or as high as the next. Else it will jump back to preset. (Thanks Jan for pointing this out again).

The auto-mode seems to be working alright for me. I hope that you thought of setting Brightness Control to Automatic either in EQS or in Settings/Display before trying around with these settings... just saying...

If you want to act like a pro: you can use a light-metering app on a second phone and try to measure the display brightness in a fully darkened room with no other light bleeding in.
I see this as the only way to safely determine if the display brightness levels actually do change.

Since a second phone would emit light from its own display during measuring, it wouldn't even be very accurate either.
Maybe some photographer is here who still has a light meter lying around?

I was just going to explain the sliders to you again and toyed with the manual settings, only to find out there in fact is a bug with the manual sliders.
They cannot be adjusted on a clean 5.8 install from the full ROM. Always jump back to their preset condition. Except the top slider for the lowest light reading, sometimes sticks when changed, sometimes not.

This however only affects the manual mode. The auto-mode seems to be working alright for me. I hope that you thought of setting Brightness Control to Automatic either in EQS or in Settings/Display before trying around with these settings... just saying...

I hope Jan will not cull the whole Beta Team now.

I close the screen, wait 15 sec, open the screen, unlock, and.... full brightness! I tried restarting, no change. I always had that problem with this setting so either I'm missing something or I don't understand what I'm changing. (see attachment #1)

As for the "slider doesn't work on full install", it always behaved like that. BUT, there's something fishy with the slider. When it bump back because you put a value lower then last value, the number at the end of the slider stick to the number. So in the value field at the end, you can end up with a list going from 0,10,20,14,15,12 while the slider shows more.

As for #2, I'm unsure what you mean as by "There is no such thing". see attachment 2 and 3.
