I've got it debloated, with 3minit battery mod and some csc mods about ready to release.
I'll give this one a run again when the next build comes up. Appreciate your efforts no doubt I've just had a rough time getting this to flash or settle in for me. I'm sure it's something I'm doing. Going to give it a run with the AEL v5.4 kernel. Been having real good luck on Deadly with this version.I've got it debloated, with 3minit battery mod and some csc mods about ready to release.
Works for me, thanks!move this file to /system, add .bak to existing build.prop, rename this to build.prop, change permissions to 644 (rw-r--r--). reboot.
if that doesn't work let me know. I've been hoping a new base would come out to warrant uploading new build with this fix.

After 3 days, I feel like I can confirm that downgrading from 4.4+ to 4.3 has alleviated the modem freezing issue on my S4 (SGH-i337). Changing modems didn't help, Odin back to stock didn't help, bootloader upgrade from MDB to MDL didn't help, but a downgrade to TW 4.3 MK2 on the MDL modem w/ the Jeboo v2.2 Kernel appears to have completely cured my modem failures. Thanks Dirt, I've been through all the flashable I337 modems I could find from MDB to NC1 with no change. The problem I'm experiencing does not appear to be tied directly to the modem. After countless hours of reasearch and even more hours of experimentation, I'm pretty certain the problem is tied to Android 4.4.x.
I've only found a few XDA posts that describe my issue, but unfortunately I haven't found anyone on XDA who's to provide advanced debugging or troubleshooting advice.

I traced the problem back to when I upgraded to the NB1 modem and 4.4 TW ROM. Some Googling found a posts on other forums describing Koodo & T-Mobile users with the same issue. Those folks traced the problem to android 4.4 and claim to have some confirmation from their service providers.

After downgrading my Modem to MDL an my ROM to an old 4.3 MK2 based SHOstock ROM, I haven't had any modem freezes for about a day. My problem now, is that the 4.3 SHOstock ROM I found has some custom mods integrated into it that break a few apps I rely heavily on. So I'm trying to find a stable 4.3 TW ROM that's closer to stock.
I've been on Vision-X ROMs for about 6 months now, I saw that there was a legacy 4.3 MKx ATT based ROM, and so I was hoping someone could dig it out of the archives and post it form. It would REALLY make my week.
I'm still not out of the woods yet, as the longest I've gone since the issue started occurring is 2days, the the problem is triggered by leaving or returning to my house, where I have a very poor cell signal. But I'm hopeful, and therefore trying to track down a ROM I'd be happy living on until my contract expires.

It also looks like 4.4 has a major bug that affects many devices where some combination of 4G and Location causes an error to flag and throws a sim card not detected error which makes the phone unusable and forces a restart. This has been going on for quite a while with no response from Google POSAfter 3 days, I feel like I can confirm that downgrading from 4.4+ to 4.3 has alleviated the modem freezing issue on my S4 (SGH-i337). I'm still trying to get a copy of mk9 ViSiON-X for you. I haven't forgotten. it sucks that you have to stay on 4.3 though. After 3 days, I feel like I can confirm that downgrading from 4.4+ to 4.3 has alleviated the modem freezing issue on my S4 (SGH-i337). Thanks so much dirt! I'll let you know how it goes as soon as I finish a man droid!
The ROM works GREAT dirt! Thank you again SO much!!! One question, where can I find more info on the included kernel?
Honestly I haven't run flashed that build since it was a current build. If you tell me which kernel is included or give me a screen shot of the about device page, I'll see what I can do.The ROM works GREAT dirt! Thank you again SO much!!! Audism was the kernel name, sorry I didn't provide it with my inquiry. And no sweat, a quick Google search turned up an XDA thread with the current version of the kernel. I plan to reach out to the author to see if there's an FAQ or set of recommended settings for 4.3. So far it's been very stable without any tweaking, so I may just leave it alone.Honestly I haven't run flashed that build since it was a current build. Thread rolling right along, top notch stuff happening, looking good!!! if I can be of help, let me know....:good::good:that brings back some memories. for a long time that was my go to kernel.
sorry, I've been busy working on another project. still being fairly new to doing this is still a lot of learning.
Yes sir....great job dirt!Everything must be running smooth here. Quiet threads usually are due to a lack of problems.
If the ROM I'm on wasn't so dang good I'd pursue this one big time. I have only been able to get this one to flash correctly once. Not sure what's going on but I continually get a system fc.Everything must be running smooth here. Quiet threads usually are due to a lack of problems.
