HERE IS THE EXACT PROCEDURE! Coming from KK. Assuming you are on custom rom or rooted stock. this is xda afterall

1.Odin NK2 stock tar from here
2.during setup ONLY setup your wifi access if you have it. skip everything else.
3.go to here and manually tell it to update. settings -> system update -> UPDATE NOW be patient this make take a few tries while it registers your device and pushes the data back/forth
4.download the OTA (1gb file), once done install the update
5. The fist boot will take 10-15 minutes
7.pull the battery (or full power off), and reboot in download mode
6.now odin cf autoroot fom here
7.once it reboots pull battery again (or full power off), and reboot in download mode
8. flash recovery of choice. I use TWRP fom here
9.once it reboots you can reboot again into recovery
You are now on Stock rooted LP bootloader + TWRP. (for those asking why root then recovery... for some reason the recovery wont always stick unless you root the device first. Maybe someone more knowledgable in the area can shed some light on the reason)
10.Now you can reboot to recovery and flash your LP (or some kk roms) of choice!

The most sure fire way, is to:
1) Boot into TWRP, perform a backup, and factory reset.
2) Power off phone (don't boot from TWRP, into download mode, power completely down).
3) Hold the home + volume down buttons, then press power. Press volume up at the prompt, to enter download mode.
4) Odin the NK2 tar
5) Allow the phone to fully boot into Android. Your phone should automatically search for, and download lollipop. If not, check manually.
6) Power off, and boot into download mode.
7) Uncheck auto reboot, in Odin.
8) Odin the latest version of TWRP (2.8.5.x).
9) Once you are absolutely sure TWRP has successfully flashed, remove the battery (to power off).
10) Reinsert the battery, and boot into TWRP (home + volume up, then press power), and flash VisionX, or flash the SuperSU zip, to remain stock-rooted.

In step 5, your phone status should read "official," in settings, about. If not, you may have to remove your external SD card, and either re-Odin NK2, or boot into stock recovery, and factory reset. This will wipe the entire phone, so backup, your internal storage, first!

Edit: My method omits the CF Autoroot, because, With the custom recovery, the Phone can be rooted, from within TWRP via SuperSU zip, or a pre-rooted custom rom. Same result, either way.

OK i have no idea how this worked but this is what i did to finally get it to work. I went into super su settings changed from prompt to grant. I then went and selected clean up for re install.. i got a force close so i rebooted flashed super su zip...once rebooted installed titanium and viola no prompt but root access...restoring my apps now.

Excellent ROM! Had absolutely NO issues with root!
But then my process was little different.
I was on Hybrid X 1.06 KK. Here's what I did...
First I Odin'd stock NK2 (did NOT wipe anything before or after flash).
Let stock NK2 boot up, still had ALL my previous apps (root apps incl). Went STRAIGHT to SETTINGS connected my WiFi, did not update ANYTHING. Sprint downloaded some dumb apps automatically while LP was downloading but oh well. After LP was downloaded I installed it and let it do its thing. Still had ALL my apps (root apps incl). But no root yet. I never updated ANYTHING,had prompts in status bar that 9 apps needed updated but I passed.
Powered off/ dl mode, Odin cf auto-root, let phone reboot (had auto reboot and f reset time both checked in Odin). Booted up, checked TB, had root, checked su, working fine. Powered off/dl mode, flashed TWRP latest, no issues after reboot. Still have root.
Keep in mind that I have NOT WIPED ANYTHING DURING THIS PROCESS YET!
Power off/recovery mode (vol down+home+power)TWRP boots fine, still have previous theme from KK on it.
Now I go to WIPE/ADVANCED WIPE/and check only 3 things, Dalvik-system-cache, did this 3-4x. Used back arrow at bottom of screen to go to main screen. Chose Install, highlighted this ROM on my external sd installed fine.
Phone booted up and was at the Sprint spark screen at 8:42am and at the Android is upgrading screen at 8:46am. That process took awhile (due to art I believe) optimized all 382 apps. Went to home screen after slight pause, had previous wallpaper for home/lock screen already on it. Checked TB and SU and still had root.
NOW is when I updated those previous 9 apps and SU was one of them. After all apps updated I still had prompt to update SU binary, I did, rebooted and still have root!
GREAT JOB and very fast with the OTA only coming out a few days ago. Hats off to you and your team!

Just added the ext fix to read/write ext sdcard. There will be a R2, just let this settle for a day or so....

It has always worked for me up to lp. 128....can't help it....i'm a downloading fool!
If the fix doesn't work, I sadly go back to my kk nandroid and lurk. sadly.

cool, lets find a solution and solve the issue. Try the rom, and if it doesn't we will see what we can do. Is it a lp restriction?

It's not a lollipop restriction. My 128gb works fine. I had a couple of stalled downloads, but finally got a good one. I'll report back, if I have any problems with VisionX, and 128gb.
