Long boot times are going to happen until big red pushes out 4.4.3 update, which will let us update our firmware. First boot can take as long as 30 min and every other boot can take between 5-15 min.

As for the SD card issue, it could be related to the ROM and not being on the correct firmware, not positive but since it is based off of the 2.22 firmware, there may be something skipping during boot. I highly recommend staying on 1.8 until we get the official update from VZW

Anyone that updated having an issue with YouTube? I keep getting "an error occurred" and it won't open. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it but that didn't help. I also cleared cache but that didn't help either.

Is there anywhere I can download the full 1.8 ROM? It looks like they only have incremental OTA's of older versions on the site.

I don't see 1.7 either. From what's on the site, it looks like i'd have to go from 1.0 and do a ton of patches.

I cleaned flashed 2.0 came from clean rom...so far no problems at all...you tube works and wifi and lte working good...maybe i just got lucky.

Data but can't make calls or texts

So I clean flashed the v 2.0 no problem. I made a couple phone calls no problem. A few hours later it becomes impossible to make a phone call or send a text. I keep getting the message "Phone call has been lost". For text messages I got a no digital service available. The best part is that I am on the phone now using my Verizon data service aka 4G to write this message. That is the weirdest thing ever. I also realized my splash screen takes way longer than before to disappear with no boot animation. No mods what so ever just a clean ViperOne 2.0 installation. Can someone please check into this

For people having issues with sdcard:

baclup your sdcard content on your computer, then format your sdcard in recovery or try to format it on your desktop.

slow bootup is related to vzw beeing slow with pushing updates and that theres no firmware yet you can flash.
Art works fine...ensure you dont ahve xposed installed. xposed doesnt work on art and as far as i know it prevents you from switching to art.

ART works for me. SD card not working for me. Will try the format in recovery after I finish backing up SD card.

I did a completely clean install of 2.0.0. Definitely spent a ridiculously long time on the HTC logo before it booted up the first time. SDcard seems to be working; however, I am having the youtube issue. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, wiping app data, force stopping to no avail. If anyone finds a fix, please let me know.

would it be better to just wait until Verizon does their thing? Since we are running Viper, will we still get an OTA update notification when big Red pushes out the update? The old Viper is working great on my M8, and, while I don't mind long boot times, as I don't reboot it often, will I see any major greatness without the firmware update?

I lost all data on my SD card after flashing to 2.0. I put the sd card and it said the card needed to be formated. I put it back in phone an formatted it, put my data back on then reflected my backup that I keep on the internal storage. I'm waiting for firmware before flashing again.

Everything's running fine since I flashed the update last night so far. Very speedy and the reboot times actually aren't that bad after the first 2 or 3 boots. Boot up took 20+ min once but now on avg takes 3-5 min. One interesting thing I noticed is if you do a quick reboot there is an "android" boot animation
