Hello!! this custom rom works fine but i have one question, is "kernel is not seandroid enforcing" message when i turn on my sm-p600, normal?
The seandroid thing is just a cosmetic bug when using the LP bootloader, it doesn't mean anything bad, I can fix it but it would make the build much bigger

Officially XPOSED on P600

Officially Xposed v88.1 sdk25 is out and working on our beloved P600.
There are still a few incompatibillities eg. with greenify xposed settings, but these are only cosmetic isseus and must be solved by the greenify devs. Apart from greenify all my xposed modules are working fine.

Great to know, just don't report any bugs here while using it, I don't support Xposed

Yeah, i know!
I want only to mention it because we have waited sooo long.
When I discover a bug, I make sure that it also exists without Xposed before I would mention it. You should meanwhile know me well enough, mate....:highfive:

Google Play Gone Goofy

Has anyone else had an issue with Google Play? I am aware of some changes that they made in no longer allowing multiple downloads at the same time, but this is getting really stupid. EVERY time I attempt any download or update, I have to manually clear data and cache of GP! If not, I will ONLY get the "download pending" message. And now, even when I CAN download from GP it locks up the app during install. I do not believe that this an ISP related issue. Meanwhile, my wife's sp600 seems to be ok with GB but it is inundated with nagware adds thay I can't find the source of. And she ONLY gets apps from GP! I know--do full wipe flashes of the ROM. For me, it's a minor PITA, but my wife is picky about keeping all her "stuff" intact. And I have rescued hundreds of photos from the netherworlds that some apps decided to put them in. Right now, GP has me PO'd. ;-DeanoD

Sounds like a gapps issue, I recommend wiping the system and switching gapps, if you're using open gapps, try beans gapps, if you're using beans gapps, try open gapps. Also, for open gapps only use nano or pico

Thanks for the great suggestion. I've been running Beans mini since it was recommended here. And there hasn't been an update since July. I'm gonna give the Open Gapps nano another try. I just find it odd that I have 3 same model sp600 units all running the current ROM, but only one is giving be GP grief. And the tetchy keyboard problem with ghost input is coming back. I may switch to my backup tablet and strip this one right down. But I will try flashing the Open gapps first. ;-DeanoD

I went back over this forum and it seems like Open gapps may not be currently compatible with this ROM. So, I did a clean install with the Full version of Beans gapps. My apps got reinstalled OK, but now I'm getting a bad lag when typing and the keyboards go wonky if I hover the pen too long. But GP does seem to be working. ;-DeanoD

Hmm!
It is really strange that only you permanently get problems with this rom. Seems you are really trapped by the bad luck or you repeating a guinea pig error again and again.
Did you often switch between roms without wiping data(only cache and dalvik)? Or did you have restored some really old backups via TB. Backups created under older android version, for instance made under android 5, can make issues if you restore it on android 7. It is not the rule but it js possible.
Next time restore only what you "really need, nothing else". There is an cool invention called "Cloud," there you can store, view, share, and otherwise tons of images, videos and what ever.
So no reason to restore hundreds of images each time, Lol!
Ahhh, and install apps when ever it's possible directly from playstore. Outdated apps can also make trouble!

I've been running AICP and opengapps pico for month now(dirty updates all the time, wipe system, cache and dalvik) and there is not a single issue. Neither will Playstore nor with the keyboard.
The only thing is that the keyboard has a sound delay while typing text but this issue is as old as the rom itself and never got fixed. But disabling keyboards sounds makes it irrelevant.

Thanks for the insight Ollie. I never get permanent issues, just a few specific ones that keep coming back to bite me on the butt. I am juggling three similar machines all sp600 in various stages of use and temperament, But I never rely on backups like Titanium since many builds back when this forum deemed them to have conflicts with the nwer ROMs In most cases, with my varied issues, I like to use this forum as a sounding board as I progress through finding a solution or walkaround in my own way. As my wife says, I'm most happiest when I have a problem to deal with. None of these machines are run in a vacuum as they get good amounts of apps coming and going. My proudest moments are when my wife finds a problem, analyses it, and learns what the possible causes could be, and then fixes it. I think we all share in the joy of discovery, and finding new solutions,
But, in the end, I am the chief of all three machines, and they are well used, but are regularly wiped totally clean, which is one of the better tools to erase problems, but not neccessarily how to learn from a mistake and find a true solution. When I spend a few sleepless nights like the past few days, I am in my element. And I do my damnded best to keep these little buggers running efficiently and safely. But TB was tossed long ago, and I uses the cloud backups for restoration points of personal data. I know that most times I haved backup plans that get be back up and running from scratch in under an hour.
But MOST of my problems that weren't total bonehead lapses on my part have eventually recurred. Like the keyboard input lag issues. Mostly it is a wee PITA, but at times I want to call an exorcist rather than a fellow techie.
In times of my younger years, I would have had no problem in cracking a computer open to fix a prob. And that was because my skills were self taught. So I DID things that smarter people "knew" wouldn't work. Fix a lot of family PCs that way. Sorry for the rant ya gotta just love insomnia some times! ;-DeanoD

"Quick Launch" Apps on home screen

Greetings,

Is there a way to increase the number of "quick launch" icons on the home screen?
I've looked through all of the settings and have not found a way to have more than 6.

Thanks
