can you confirm that the builds proposed in the post are official?

It was never stated that the builds are official. If you do some research, you'll see that no A 2017 series device has official builds. Also:

yes, but between an official post created by a person known in the world of cyano / lineageos and a person who adds a link in a post, we can ask ourselves questions ...

I will add, a link added by a known person of person, etc ...

You're not making ANY sense. You don't necessarily need a thread on a forum(be it xda or otherwise), official LineageOS builds can be found on LineageOS' own website: https://download.lineageos.org/ (provided the particular device has been approved to recieve official nightly builds). You need to redefine your understanding of official/unofficial build.

I have no problem with the understanding of the official and unofficial word.

My problem is the dubious origin of adding a link in the middle of this post without the author of the post validating anything.

Hi!

Official builds should be available in the next day or two, from https://download.lineageos.org/a7y17lte. You should use an updated TWRP for the official builds, which you can get from https://lineageos.fun/a7y17lte/ (this one's using the right colourscheme thanks to @Option58). Official builds have a few more fixes (GPS, encryption, MMS). I'll update the OP with instructions on migrating from my builds when the first official build comes out.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to work on VoLTE/IMS support for A5/A7 as my carrier doesn't support VoLTE. Maybe when/if they do I'll try, but there's no news on when that might happen :(.

Oreo mostly works, but we can't get BT working until Samsung officially releases 8.0 for A5/A7 - so it'll be a month or two more before that happens.

Is it mandatory to install this Twrp from LOS site? We can flash with the existing recovery right? Thank you.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 7.1 (Nougat), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit our Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Reporting bugs
    • DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    • Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    • If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    • If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log

Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. Any bug not reported in the bug report format below may be ignored.

Thanks to raymanfx for all his work (on the "tricky bits") for the a5!

This is based on the Samsung Nougat kernel. Make sure you're running a Nougat-based stock firmware before installing this!

As you can see first LineageOS 15.1 build has recently been released for A5 2017 in this post.
I've created a little kernel patch so we can boot it on our A7 2017 as well.

You should flash this patch after each new rom update.

Bugs: Tested on my device. Should be the same as on A5.

    https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=252254

If you run into any problems with TWRP, you can flash the latest 3.2.1-0 from here.

Note: This is not my work. I was only the one to compile this patch on my PC.
And because of that I wouldn't like to create a new thread. If there is an issue due to forum rules please let me know if I must.
