Feedback on 4.4-RC2 (pollux_windy):

I’ve been using this ROM for a while now and I’d like to share with you my overall impressions so far.

PROS:
- Super stable! Not a single crash or hang so far! Kudos, kudos, kudos!
- PIE Controls
- Reboot into Recovery
- Adjust brightness on status bar
- Volume boost! Audio output is much louder than in any ROM I tried before
- Good theming options.
- Clean settings options.

CONS:
- I suspect that this ROM is somehow more resources hungry than usual. When playing HD content, no matter with which player – YouTube, MX Player or XBMC, the playback skips slightly and randomly; and jumping for- and backwards causes serious skipping. I never had this problem with this device with any other ROM before
- GPS: Works only works under “certain conditions.” I need to have WiFi connection and if I had Locations previously turned off I’d also need a reboot after enabling it so that I get the “Google Consent” prompted and click “Agree”. I didn’t figured it out how to avoid this.
- Volume rocker doesn’t invert when using the device upside-down. Anyone knows how to enable that?
- Settings > Buttons: FC all the time and options are unavailable.
- PIE Control: Background corner links always launch the Google web site. I don’t use Google and I’d like to disable or change that. Any ideas?
- Settings > Remix Settings: Sub-menu options are invisible sometimes. You’d need to change tabs a couple of times to make they show again.

Yes, disabling mpdecision fixes the audio glitches.

I have been using this ROM for half a day now and other than a couple of Fc's in settings it seems very stable. Thank you to the post above for confirmation of MP decision fixing sound glitches, it does indeed work well even with viperfx.

ROM is quick however it has had a couple of weird hangs during installation of apps, installing a random UCCW skin took just over 3 minutes but I uninstalled and reinstalled to see if it repeated and it didn't.

The new hover feature is brilliant and saves time however it would help to be able to blacklist some apps from it and have an option to ignore constant notifications. There's plenty of customisation and nothing at all is lacking besides the previous suggestions.

This will be staying as my daily ROM I hope to see some updates to fix the Fc's. Thank you

For hover blacklist go to an app info and exclude it from hover.

Thanks for link, I'll test it soon. It could be that the slight video skipping I mentioned in my review is indeed only an audio problem. I'll apply the fix and report back.

Disabling MPDecision with Trickster MOD did the trick, thanks! I have no audio problems anymore. I wish this issue would be fixed in the ROM soon though. I noticed that the MPDecision turns itself on again sometimes and/or after every reboot too and having to run Trickster MOD every time I need to use audio is not really an option for me in the long run. I use this tablet almost exclusively as a multi-media device and I need a ROM whose audio playback work reliably out of the box. Too bad because I really like this ROM otherwise.

Is this rom still being developed? I discovered some bugs with the settings, everytime i try to apply qny themes the settings apk. Force closes and the buttons submenu consistently force closes also
