Yes, the official CM10 nightlies still support the ICS bootloader...
1. Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 JZO64K 2. Built using the latest CM10 changes as of 09 Oct 2012 09:00PM Pacific Time (GitHub / Gerrit) 2. Uses the latest AndroidRoot commits with the Jelly Bean 10.4.2.15 kernel (3.1) and proprietary files & drivers (GitHub) with some changes and additions by me 3. Needs the new Jelly Bean 10.4.2.15 bootloader [IMPORTANT: Flashing over an incorrect bootloader can permanently brick you device said:
4. Working HDMI audio and video streaming and bluetooth auto streaming
5. Working camera and microphone
7. 4-way reboot menu (Reboot, Recovery, Fastboot & APX)
8. Includes all the files and changes need for the Google Widevine DRM [untested!!]
8. All other features of CM10 including fully functional dock (For those with dock keyboard issue, I've reverted some of my changes. Please retest)

Ok so i flashed the lastest nightly from get.cm.
My version is listed as: Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 JZO54K (whats the difference between JZO64K & JZO54K?)
Secondly, i'm only seeing Reboot, Recovery...no FASTBOOT & APX, is this due to the ICS bootloader? And not a feature in the Nightlies?

Will there be an easier way to upgrade bootloaders in the future. I'm currently running CWM and nandroid backups dont seem to be working, i'm kinda of flying by the seat of my pants without any backups. I'm hesitant to install TWFP or jump around too much without a reliable backup. Anyone have any suggestions? Also don't have NVFLASH yet.

Sorry... my mistake... it is JZO54K... I mistyped it...

Yes, the extended reboot options are only available on the JB bootloader version... there are kernel hacks involved in this...

You could flash TWRP for ICS and create a backup... no problem with that... it won't cause any problems if you follow instructions properly...

Yes, it can be easy to upgrade the bootloader... I will provide a CM10 version with the JB bootloader embedded when I do my next build... maybe this weekend...

Cool after much reading and a shot of courage i flashed TWRP for ICS and made a backup. I feel much better now.

So if you embed the JB bootloader into the next CM10 build (Nightly? or will you have a link?) what will happen with TWRP? Will I need to flash that again? Is there a risk of brick?

Well I took the plunge.
Unlocked Bootloader > installed TWRP (JB) > Installed CM10 (JB Kernel)

All went smooth, and it is now running beautifully!!

Thanks Craig.

I assume we can't use the Cyanogen Updater inside the rom to go to new Nightlies huh?

Hi Craig,

So I've been running the JB JRO03R build for the past few days. I must say that the tablet definitely feels significantly more fluid and more useable. Pairing this build with the new Dolphin Jetpack engine and my web browsing is now screaming fast. Unfortunately there truly is hardware issues that just completely bog it down for no reason sometimes it seems. Sadly, I don't have the resources to insert buy a quality external SD card so there isn't much more I can do, so will just be happy that you and all the other devs have brought this $500 tablet back from the brink of death by frustration. I'm very happy that it will finally actually download and install multiple updates from Play Store without issue. My microphone is also back to working order. I can finally skype from my tablet again!

However, a two minor issues I'm having... for some reason the tablet usually requires that I push the power button multiple times before it will wake up. Not always though. Almost always gets it the by the second try. I've now had it completely shut down on me overnight

The Auto brightness setting doesn't actually appear to be doing anything. I will try to do some more specific testing to make sure that it is actually working later and I'm just missing it actually do it.

Thanks again! When I have the chance I will try flashing to the newest version this weekend.

Edit... Just saw that TWRP was updated to v2.3 a little bit ago. As soon as I get home I'll update TWRP and then flash the 4.1.2 build. Will let you know how it goes.

CM10 might remain on the ICS bootloader for a while more... not sure how long, but I'll ask Jens (rayman)... so it will be my unofficial build... and it will be CM10 + 3.1 JB kernel & drivers + JB bootloader + JB TWRP...

Nope... don't use the CM10 updater until CM10 official builds go JB...

Craft...I am having problem connecting to wifi...I have to reboot to connect it. Any ideas.

Sent from my EPAD using xda premium

Could you try one thing... disconnect & turn off wifi... and delete the folder /data/misc/wifi (use root explorer or any other root file manager)... reboot and re-setup all your wireless networks...

Hi Craig, I have been using your rom for a while now and I am very impressed with it's speed and fluidity, it's how Asus should have released the prime in the first place, it's also very nice to have my favorites back in the stock browser. I also have the Nexus 7 and the prime is now on par with it, in fact it's now my favorite device to use .I have a couple of questions, one regarding the hardware keyboard langue, I am using a UK TF201 and the default seems to be US without a UK option, is this changeable ?, also the auto screen brightness is not working , anyway to correct this?.

Thanks for such a great rom

Excellent, you said you were hoping to put this together this weekend?

So will there an issue flashing the nightly's once i go to your unofficial build? Does the current CM10 build have the 3.1 JB Kernal & drivers?

I'm loving the speed of the 3.1 kernel :) Here are things which aren't so cool though...

Does anyone else have issues with Gallery not syncing? Mine's empty. I tried reflashing Gapps, clearing the cache, checking the sync settings in accounts. It's completely empty.

aLogcat is empty. I guess I'll try another logcat reading app on the device. When opening Gallery, I see this

D/Gallery.MultiSetSync(13819): onSyncDone: MTP devices #pending=2
D/Gallery.MultiSetSync(13819): request sync: MTP devices
D/Gallery.MultiSetSync(13819): onSyncDone: Local albums #pending=1
D/Gallery.MultiSetSync(13819): request sync: Local albums
D/Gallery.MultiSetSync(13819): onSyncDone: picasa #pending=0
D/Gallery.MultiSetSync(13819): request sync: picasa

Toggling sync in accounts produces:

D/PicasaSyncService( 1383): start sync on [email protected]
D/PicasaSyncManager( 1383): reject MetadataSyncTask ([email protected]) because downsync is disabled
D/PicasaSyncManager( 1383): reject MetadataSyncTask ([email protected]) because downsync is disabled
D/PicasaSyncService( 1383): sync finished
D/dalvikvm( 427): GC_CONCURRENT freed 826K, 43% free 9934K/17415K, paused 3ms+6ms, total 83ms
D/PicasaSyncManager( 1383): reject MetadataSyncTask ([email protected]) because downsync is disabled

If you are using my Google Apps pack, it does not replace the Gallery app from CM10 source ... which does not include Picasa sync... only the stock Gallery apps include Picasa sync... you could copy a Gallery.apk from another GApps pack or the stock ROM to get this working but you will lose the CM10 camera additions since the camera & gallery are one app...

Flashed TWRP 2.3 and your latest build this afternoon. Still running great but still have those 2 bugs.

It actually appears that the auto-brightness setting isn't working because the light sensor is not reading any values and remains zero.

Probably... it's still a work in progress... I don't use the auto brightness, but I'll try to see if I can figure out whats wrong...

Neither are big issues for me (the power button bug seems to affect stock users as well), and I don't actually use autobrightness either, was just letting you know about these bugs for the future!

Thanks for the awesome work.

    UPDATE 18-08-2012:
Nightlies have started showing up :) These are slightly more official than this one, but still based on our code!
    Get them at http://get.cm/

So, it’s been over a week since JellyBean source dropped and we figured it was time for some fun news!

    Code:
    #include <std_disclaimer.h>
    /*
     * Your warranty is now void.
     *
     * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
     * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
     * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
     * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
     * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
     */

As I’m sure everyone knows, CM10 has been progressing at blazing speeds and we (on the AndroidRoot) team felt that it was time to show it off on transformers :)

It’s still early and CM10 has a good way to go, but it’s certainly usable! Note that this tree is what will become the official CM10 for Transformer Prime.

    What works:
    1. Wifi
    2. Bluetooth
    3. Sound
    4. Camera (Photos + recording + panorama)
    5. Video Acceleration (720p youtube ftw!)
    6. Basic dock functionality (keyboard works -- second battery doesn’t show up)
    7. 3D Games
    8. Sensors

    What doesn’t work:
    1. GPS

All credit goes to AndroidRoot team and CyanogenMod! We are the official maintainers of this device, so it can be considered a preview of what will later become official CM10 for the device.

More information and downloads at http://androidroot.mobi/?p=466
Edit: We've been asked to include download links so here goes: http://developer.clockworkmod.com/downloads/10504/3206/cm-10-20120718-UNOFFICIAL-tf201.zip

    Source at github.com/AndroidRoot

As usual, any donations people wish to give should go to AndroidRoot team: http://androidroot.mobi/donations/ and not directly to me! We do not expect donations, but we appreciate all.

Some good news... as of build 2012/09/12, several TF201 gerrit changes have been merged into the CM10 tree... so now, the CM10 build will have most of the mods I've been pushing...

    Here's what IS now included:
    1) Dock battery display
    2) Audio policy tweaks for bluetooth & USB audio streaming
    3) Additional minimum brightness level
    4) Disable auto-brightness for keyboard (since the keyboard doesn't have a backlight)
    5) Latest refreshed device overlays

What IS NOT part of the build will now be included in a generic update zip... which can be used across any CM10 based ROM for the TF201 (even euroskank)... and is no longer release specific...
    1) Build.prop tweaks for performance & battery life
    2) LCD density set to 160 (fixes YouTube app display... now shows 3 rows)
    3) Working GPS config tweaks (needs GPS dongle)
    4) Sysctl & DNS tweaks

    CM 10 GENERIC TWEAKS
    12
we will probably need some mirrors but here is a link to JB gaaps

And now we have Android 4.1.2 JZO64K for our Transformer Primes... CyanogenMod 10 with the new Android 4.1.2...

THIS ROM IS ONLY FOR PEOPLE WHO HAVE UPGRADED TO THE NEW JELLY BEAN TF201 BOOTLOADER. IF YOU ARE STILL RUNNING THE ICS TF201 BOOTLOADER, WAIT FOR THE NEXT CM10 NIGHTLY. PLEASE READ THE WHOLE POST BEFORE USING THIS ROM...

    1. Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 JZO64K
    2. Built using the latest CM10 changes as of 09 Oct 2012 09:00PM Pacific Time (GitHub / Gerrit)
    2. Uses the latest AndroidRoot commits with the Jelly Bean 10.4.2.15 kernel (3.1) and proprietary files & drivers (GitHub) with some changes and additions by me
    3. Needs the new Jelly Bean 10.4.2.15 bootloader [IMPORTANT: Flashing over an incorrect bootloader can permanently brick you device]

CAUTION: The ROM in this post needs the new Jelly Bean 10.4.2.15 bootloader. You also need an unlocked bootloader. Flashing this over an incompatible bootloader can permanently brick you device. I (craigacgomez), CyanogenMod or AndroidRoot are not responsible for anything. Use this at your own risk.

CREDITS: CyanogenMod, AndroidRoot, Google, Asus, nVidia

    MicroSD solution:

Create a file (in my case I named it 01removable) in /system/etc/init.d/ and set properties to rwxrwxrwx

As contents of the file, enter:

    Code:
    #!/system/bin/sh
    mount -o remount,rw /
    mkdir /Removable/
    mkdir /Removable/MicroSD
    mkdir /Removable/SD
    mkdir /Removable/USBdisk1
    mkdir /Removable/USBdisk2

Now at each boot the script gets exectuted and microsd will get mounted to /Removable/sd :)
