ADD ONS & UC CONFIGUTATION
Cosmik Debris uses the UC (User Customization) method. You can find more info about this in THIS thread.
It's very easy to install programs during the FIRST boot of the ROM.
You can add or remove stuff that you don't need, and uninstall the applications if you decide not to use them anymore.

If you do have problems removing a file please use a program like SKTools to remove it. At this time only Connection Setup seems to have this problem.

See the first post for the UC Files link!

What does the UC ZIP contain?
- HTC Calculator - (folder: Office)
- HTC Connection Setup - (folder: System\Settings)
- HTC FM Radio - (folder: Multimedia)
- HTC MP3 Trimmer - (folder: Multimedia)
- HTC RSSHub - (folder: Connection)
- HTC Teeter - (folder: Games)
- HTC Voice Recorder - (folder: Multimedia)
- HTC YouTube - (folder: Multimedia)
- MS Office 2007 - (folder: Office)
- Opera Browser 9.7 - (folder: Connection)
- Worldcard Scanner - (folder: Office)

NOTE: that the CAB's are repacked and modded for the Cosmik Debris ROM!

Cosmik Debris FAQ Section

1. Can I configure the Action Screen under the left soft key?

The current Cosmik Debris ROM contains a small setting script that allows you to change some Action Screen settings. You can find it under: Start\Programs\System\Settings\ -> Cosmik Debris Settings

I will post an example of how to change the new calendar function to create a new appointment using Pocket Informant.
Change the following registry keys:
Code:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\Biotouch\ActionScreen\APP_3]
"Path"="\Program files\WebIS\PocketInformant\PocketInformant.exe"
"Param"="calendar -new"
2. Can I use this ROM on my CDMA device?
No, this is a GSM only version.

3. Show us the power of Mortscript!
I will provide a small example of how you can use Mortscript. For more Mortscript info you have to do a search. There are plenty of examples floating around.

Just create a blank text file with Notepad. Call it: CosmikDebris.mscr (for example).
Paste the following code into the text file. This piece of code expects Google Maps and Sashimi to be installed. Just modify it for personal use.

Piece of my Mortscript clean-up script:
Code:
if (FileExists( "\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Google Maps.lnk" ))
Move ("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Google Maps.lnk","\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\GPS", TRUE)
Else
EndIf

if (FileExists( "\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\SASHIMI\SASHIMI.lnk" ))
MkDir ("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\System\Unused\Sashimi" )
XCopy ("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\SASHIMI\*.*","\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\System\Unused\Sashimi", TRUE, TRUE)
DelTree ("\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\SASHIMI" )
Else
EndIf
Now copy the file to your device and use Total Commander to execute the file.
You can do this for all programs you install on your device and run the script only once! It will clean up your Start Menu for you.

4. I can't remove the files that are installed during the UC installation!

I've checked all files and only Connection Setup seems to have some problems. Use a program like SKTools to remove it.
Note: Soft reset before you remove any program.

5. Space for another question.

This contained info about a program that is no longer available in my ROM.

6. More to be added during the feedback of users...

I decided to share my Cosmik Debris Kitchen with you people!
The Kitchen is based on the Kitchen presented by Joshkoss. You can find this thread HERE.

Now since I might jump ship to the Android platform I can give no further support on the Kitchen.
But a lot of info is already on XDA so you should be fine.
My Kitchen is by no means a replacement for the other projects you’ll find on XDA. It’s stripped down, tweaked and optimized to MY personal preferences.

Below you will find the usual Cosmik Debris way to download the Kitchen.

Have fun with it and it’s been fun!

thank u very much!
You're welcome. Looking forward to your feedback.
Does this include kinetic scrolling in menus and in File Explorer and the like? Just curious.

Thanks,
It does support kinetic scrolling when you use File Explorer or a program like TotalCommander. HTC Menu's has been removed so most menu's just fit on your screen. It does not support kinetic scrolling in the menus like in WM6.5.

Thank you! Concerning the screenshots, they should be in the second post already...

Tomorrow I will put the second post on top. Using my TP2 now but it's safer to edit those posts from my computer ;-)

No reactions for three days. Isn't there anyone interested in WM6.1 anymore?

Small update about the new Beta I'm currently running:
- updated XIP to 21056
- added launcher on today screen that is actually already in the ROM
- Updated my .NET 3.5 files to the latest release coming from the new XIP files.

Been using WiMoSpeed on my ROM for over 24h now and it's stable on my device.
WiMoSpeed is a tool to overclock your device.

Here is a quote of my post in the WiMoSpeed thread:

This app works great on my Cosmik Debris ROM. Running over 24h stable @ 748,8 MHz.

    Did some testsing:
806,4 MHz > Device freezes instantly.
    787,2 MHz > unstable
    768,0 MHz > stable
748,8 MHz > stable and using for extra reliability ;)
