Hi, I think I have tried most ROM'S on here now but this certainly seems to fit my needs.
The battery seems to last longer and as of yet I have had no freezes, seems like a very fast and stable ROM, one for keeps I think.

No big issue but how do I use my own sound as an Alarm clock, I have my own ringtones and message alerts set but can't seem to get the alarm clock one.

if you are wanting to add alarms try the following?

you should be able to get .wav files (PCM Uncompressed) to work for alarms, and then they must be less than approx 2.33mb
They must be stored in the windows directory.
The .wav files must be 8bit or 16bit and either 8kHz, 11.025kHz, 16kHz or 22.05kHz

you should than be able to select the new wav file from the alarm list.

One other thing Chris, on WinMo 6.5.x on the Diamond landscape in Sense dowsn't retract the taskbar and notification bar so you can't use the arrows at the bottom properly! Does this work on the WVGA HD2?

it works fine on most roms with 2012. i'd suggest you have a look at OZrom as an example.

i've disabled landscape on sense in mine except for the music and album.

when you getting your HD2 btw?

No I mean the Music and Album tabs, does that rotate correctly, I know 2012 works! I've used it but want coverflow! How'd you make a hybrid? D'you just install all the 2012 files except music and album and use the 1921 ones?

I'll be getting my HD2 in the next two to three weeks but I want to make a final great ROM for the Diamond first and then a HD2 ROM! Do you use HSPL or SSPL on your HD2?

Thanks for the clean and fast ROM! I've been using EnergyROMs for a long time, but I wanted to go back to a faster stock version, without too many cooked in programs I wouldn't use

So last night I flashed yours, and I have to say, I'm impressed with the amount of free RAM and memory! However I've got one problem: My location doesn't work. Maybe it's because I'm on a roaming network (my cellphone provider uses a network of a bigger company, so always roaming), but I had it working on the EnergyROMs.

In the time I used the Blackstone, I replaced my rilphone.dll to fix this problem, but no luck this time. I've tried using Radio 2.07 (with rilphone 2.07), 2.08 and 2.10, but no luck. Last time I replaced the rilphone my phone couldn't connect to the network anymore, so I had to flash again :S

Any idea how to fix this? I'm using a European (NL) HD2...

firstly have you enabled My Location by going to the Weather Tab> Menu>Enable My Location
Then try going to the settings tab> Data Services> Weather then Download when Roaming.

Never seen the "Enable my location" option, as it was always turned on by default in previous ROMs. Works now, didn't even guess it was THAT simple! Thanks!

How to make a Hybrid?

Hi,

I tried to build a hybrid Sense 2.5 ROM using all the 2012 packages with only the photos and music from 1921, please can you direct me as to how to make a hybrid ROM that works as this way it crashes when the photos or music tabs are clicked.

you have to edit the manila core a bit.. sorry mate but while i'm happy to help i put a lot of work into getting this to run (pride, stubborness and about 2 months work went into this) so i'm not willing to share the exact method.

this is a sharing community, and as you know from the diamond forum i share a lot. this package took a lot of work though.
you need to change the manila core file a bit so it takes a bit of work. if you are starting cooking i'd start with one version or the other. i've not checked if anyone else has managed this one yet. it's possible so check other roms?

EDIT: Hm its there, damnit! Havent found a stock ROM without this bug. As you can read in the thread ive linked above, its related to the new tabs in 2012. One of them is causing this issue. But why is this huge bug going unnoticed for such a long time? Is nobody using the mail tab?

i understand it may be the documents tab thats causing it. i'll look at removing some of the tabs in the future to see if this helps but have to say it's gone unnoticed so far. if i fix it i'll post the updated but i'll be releasing my next build 'as is' in the next few days

No problem, dont worry. Its something related to 6.5.x and those sense tabs. Ive tried CleanEX DsE Black Edition maniless ROM v8 which only has the standard tabs included and the mail tab works there.

I'm not new to cooking I've been cooking for about 4 months, but since I always liked the stock look I never bothered playing with the manila files so have no idea how to do that, I've used both versions and don't like them on they're own as they're both missing things. What app did you use to edit the manila files?

Build 23569 released

i'm at work so just the rapidshare link is active so far. i'll add the others this evening.

there is one slight bug where the About Phone info on Manila settings is not updating the correct build number. it's so minor i'm not looking to fix this.

try updating your radio to 2.10 i'm running wiht this and not noticing too much of an issue.

the battery use is higher than on my previous build, but i don't consider it a problem. i've tweaked the base to increase performance, it's a trade and something will give somewhere if people report a major batter issue i'll roll back the tweaks accordingly.

please feedback any further findings as i can only fix what i know about.
