Welcome to EOS! The EOS project originated with the AOSP release of ICS, and was originally founded by Solarnz and co founded by Bigrushdog. TeamEOS Downloads
(Builds are not generated if there are no changes to source, saving you from useless updates)

Because this is an AOSP based ROM, Google Apps are not included. Flash the gapps of your choosing after you flash the ROM. If you need help finding a gapps package, ask any of us and we'll be happy to help

5.1.X Slim GApps

These builds are designed to be installed from your favorite recovery. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE LATEST 5.1.X COMPATIBLE RECOVERY.
Detailed instructions:

Going to EOS 5.1.X from another ROM:
  • Boot to recovery
  • BACKUP YOUR CURRENT SETUP!!!
  • Make a full wipe (Dalvik, Dalvik Cache, System, Data)
  • Flash the ROM
  • Flash optional kernel if you choose to not use provided kernel **We DO NOT support outside kernels**
  • Flash gapps
  • Reboot
Updating from an older EOS build to new EOS build:
You can usually skip the full wipe step and just wipe both caches. If ever you encounter an issue make sure you make a full wipe first before reporting it. This is what most call "Dirty Flashing". Normally this doesn't cause problems, but keep in mind a clean flash is always the best way to go.

How to connect the controller ?
As far as I can see. There is no built in support for any standard Nvidia apps.

I had the dreaded screen freeze (you did mention that). I've found it to be a little laggy here and there. Will test for a little bit, but badly miss Nvidia apps already. Cheers for the efforts :)

Thank you for this rom.
Everything seems to work as it should.
Have turned of screen lock and set cpu min to 300 mhz.
Will go lower to see if screen issue appear.

Edit. Screen get unresponsive after sleep anyway.
And wifi turns itself of sometimes.
But its an very promising alpha.
Thanks

For those of you who are adventurous I have a lte build also. I do not have this device, so proceed at your own risk if you wish to do so. And let me know what happens.
eos-5-20150211-UNOFFICIAL-wx_na_do.zip
I am using this build and so far so good. It doesn't see my sim from ATT, but I don't use it so no biggie to me. WiFi works good but doesn't connect automatically. Camera, GPS and all other basic functionality is good. Touchscreen works after sleep with no security, so that may be a good place to look for that fix.
I would like to see you develop this along with the WiFi version. I will run it and help with feedback. This could become a CM12 nightly!

Thanks for the feedback. I'm on team eos, so this is not necessarily an unofficial build. Just didn't change it in vendor yet.

So you changed it to selinux disabled and no sod?

Yeah, I tried that. No change for me.
I'm working on figuring that issue out and I'll continue working on getting the nvidia apps onboard once the touchscreen issue gets sorted.
Well I just got home from my day out with my wife and the touchscreen was unresponsive. So my trick didn't work either.

If the WiFi connected automatically and the touchscreen issue is resolved, this is what I want in a ROM. I hope you just use a flashable zip for the Nvidia apps. I took them out of the stock ROM, got twice the performance out of the tablet. I know some folks use them, so an option would be nice in that regard. I'll stick with it, let me know how I can be of help. This is a great effort on your part.

I just flashed the lte version as a multirom side rom. It doesn't see my t-mobile sim and I'm also getting the sod. Power and volume buttons work fine, but no touchscreen. I'll report back if I find more.

I am excited to see a CM based rom working. I've been waiting for this since I first got the tablet. Thanks for working on it.

have you found any other roms that will boot in multirom besides this one?

No, I haven't tried any others, sorry. I'm only really interested in the CM based roms. I would have missed this one too if Unjustified Dev hadn't pointed me at it. The OP doesn't really advertise that this is CM based.

It's mainly aosp with the necessary cm parts for device compatibility.

I feel like I'm getting closer to a touchscreen fix. I'm optimistic.

Ah, okay. That makes sense. I hope someone makes a true CM build. I'd run some myself if my machine would output a proper build...

Yeah, I saw the logcat on the hangout thread. It's losing connectivity at the hardware level. Doesn't seem to say why, though.
