Been looking into it. Not getting any errors on any logs so far that are consistent and relate to touchscreen. I'm guessing it's an issue with compatibility on the app side. Does it work on stock? Read sony z4 tablets have the same issue.

Encryption doesn't work

Hi! I installed eos-5-20150823-NIGHTLY-wx_na_wf.zip on NVidia Shield tablet. It seems to work smoothly, but device encryption doesn't work. Green wireframe robot shows up for a second, then device just reboot. I tried to clean cache, didn't help. Hardware is intl 16 GB wifi only version.

What other details can I provide to debug this issue?

Yes it worked fine in 5.0.2, i don't remember if it did in 5.1.1 (OTA 3.1) though.

And about MX Player, did someone replicate the problem?

Haven't checked mx yet. Spent too much time on kodi... Don't have it installed though. I'll look at that too.

I have this ROM installed, not tried others though.
You can expect CM bugs and apps not working properly like KODI (touchscreen doesn't work) and
i experienced problems with MX Player, app related i guess.

Try it by yourself and if you find bugs/issues report back.

So far it's smooth, I like the various customization settings for the status bar and navigation etc. I don't know if it's something that I caused toogling with the settings, but it seems to me like the nav buttons (especially back) are kinda hard to get to work. With single tap I mean. It's like I have to tap it really quickly to get it to actually go back, otherwise it does nothing. That and the glitchy sound, but from what I've been told, that's either kernel-related or has to do with the CM based roms, it happened with CM12.1 and with BlissPop as well...

I believe it's kernel. I'm looking into the sound thing. It's happens mainly when resource heavy stuff is going on.

I have the lte version WX_NA_DO and its hard to find good ROMs for it. This one is great, but for some reason it will not charge while in android... It charges powered off or in recovery. Same issue with the last two nightlies. The charge light comes on but the battery drains anyway.
Wonder if I have developed a bad charger or some sort of bug in the rom.
Going to flash the another rom back on just in case, to see if that fixed the issues.


EDIT: Looks like this could be an issue stemming from the OTA update to nividias rom to get the # for RMA...
all Custom Roms Are not charging after doing that update.

Any nvidia ota code is absent from the rom. Haven't had any charging issues on my end. Get me a log showing something related to ota or charging.

No I had to update to the latest rom to get the code for the RMA.
Your rom is not to blame. Guess I should have been more clear on that in my edit.
I just put this rom on after i did the update for the RMA info and was not able to charge thats why I wondered what was going on but i am having the same issues with bliss, Cyanogen, & other ASOP roms.

As soon as i get my RMA I am putting this rom on! Smooth As Silk!

Got the Idea to fastboot flash the DTB from the 5.1 Stock Shield Rom and now my battery charges!
This rom Is butter! When my new one shows up today (GOT THE TRACKING INFO AND ITS OUT FOR DELIVERY) Going to Flash this rom ASAP!

I´m new to the world of Shields. I got a lot experience with rooting, flashing etc with my S3 mini but it was a bit different for me to do these things with my Shield.
I scrolled through XDA to find a ROM that is perfect for my use and so I found this one. I installed it and it´s awesome! Thanks for developing this and keep it on. After some hours of use I couldn´t find any bugs. First ROM I flashed in my whole "android-career" with no bugs, high performance and excellent battery life! Thanks!

the best rom i use so far (even more stable than stock). I have seen any bug yet for few days used. I was major using as gaming and youtube sometimes. I didn't get any problem during using compare to the CM12 base rom in other thread this is truly amazing!

Here is the problem (or suggest ) is it a way to get a power balance mode for this rom? i feel like the battery losing faster than others (not formal test )

Since we swapped to BitO's kernel, we seem to have the inherent usb issue. It's a very easy fix.

Download the dtb file, extract it, boot into bootloader and run 'fastboot flash dtb <name of the dtb file>'
Reboot and rejoice in the return of USB.

This might be a dumb question. Is there supposed to be particular way to get the toggles to show up or is it a bug for me? Cause they wont show up at all only the notifications

EDIT: NVM i got it now. Wiping system fixed it

All unified, one size fits all, build. Dirty flash at your own risk. I haven't tried it, I clean flashed my local build. Old device specific builds won't get OTAs anymore, we're moving on to unified. Included are most of Aaron's fixes for the nvidia apps.
