¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Yes, I just needed to build Omnirom 7.1 to see where I was missing the point. I'll get to adding a property to ignore or include that flag; any suggestion on the direction and naming?

Hehe that link is already in my post :D

oops ?

i already prepared a crude patch, but it's currently borked, and always skips setting the flag for some reason. i noticed that because i can enable night light successfully regardless of the property value.
feel free to improve upon it

Seems like you did not increment skip_validate_index, so HWC2_CAPABILITY_SKIP_VALIDATE overrides the previously set HWC2_CAPABILITY_SKIP_CLIENT_COLOR_TRANSFORM at position 0 (if the property value is off).

Google Pay is not working with this ROM. I already tried several functions in magisk. SafetyNet still fails.

Any suggestions how to fix this? I have latest weekly and odm, magisk and magisk manager installed.

I can't say what probs need to be changed. But here is the link to the module I am using. I hope this helps:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/magisk/xiaomi-safetynet-fix-t3600431

I am using v2 beta 5. If you need further information please don't hesitate to ask.
ah so you're using a xiaomi fingerprint
hmmm not sure this is the best way to go about it.
you can try the module "magiskhide props config"
it has just lately included support for Sony devices, and works fine here.

Hi is the dark camera viewfinder already a known issue?
Compared to Sony stock ROM when taking pictures at night the viewfinder is darker focusing on an object is very hard and results to very soft images.
Comparing also with other phones, when taking pictures at night the viewfinder is much brighter making it much more easier to focus.

The weekly from July 29th made bt audio completely unusable. Always connection loss after a few seconds of playing, or the bt app crashes. Downgrading to a week earlier made it not perfect, but much better and usable again.

this is weird
there's hasn't been any bt changes far as i can tell.
can you please try flashing only the boot.img from the new weekly and testing? that way we can see if whatever changed is there or in the system image

Reflashed the latest weekly, the problems reappear. Downgraded again and it works better. Now I flashed boot.img from the latest into the
downgrade. No difference. Flashed the whole last weekly again, problems reappear. But as I said in several posts before, bt audio
does not run very fine, and I have this problems with 2 Suzu devices. I wonder, that there is nobody here with bt problems.
Here the log of the crash (the bt symbol disappears for a few seconds from the statusbar).

This weekend I will flash again SailfishX to see, if there is a stable bt. After that I will do a fresh install of Omni again,
after I upgraded the stock firmware. I cannot believe, that I am the only one with this annoying issues on 2 devices.
I have rooted both with Magisk and flashed the F-droid privileged extension.. No Gapps.

I do not use BT anyway, so i cannot say anything to those problems, maybe most users use like me. :(

What is the problem with a boot crash? Do you reboot that often? If I can successfully boot my device after some attempts, it is not such a critical issue. The old security level is more critical. Sidechannel updates are problematic, because of the different signatures. I don't want to wipe my device every time.
How many boot attempts are needed in average?

    well, good news
I think I narrowed the issue down to a single service (hwcomposer)
with some luck, it should be simple to find the exact cause now

A notice for the upcoming weekly:
The kernel has been updated to a new version. This requires an updated odm image.
If you update to the weekly of 20180128, when it's released, then you MUST flash the new odm image from OP, otherwise you'll end up with issues like a nonfunctional camera.
