Any news? I hope, this annoying BT problem disappears with the new kernel in P.

New TWRP 3.2.3-2 from @Chippa_a is available! :good:
Changes:
- should less heat during activity
- added ability to flash system and odm (oem) images (at least flashable now)
- added oem partition as /vendor
- recent updates from TWRP

and it's here :)
https://sx.ix5.org/files/builds/suzu/omni/
steps for updating:
1. flash back latest stock ftf (yes, even if you were already on omni 8.1)
2. boot up stock at least once, to apply any possible firmware updates
3. download and flash latest 4.9 odm using fastboot https://developer.sony.com/file/download/software-binaries-for-aosp-pie-android-9-0-kernel-4-9-loire/
4. flash twrp if you have not already
5. boot twrp, format userdata to remove stock encryption, then flash omni 9
6. reboot to system, and hope that it boots

Will there also be official builds? That is my main device, and I don't want to wipe if not necessary.

I have flashed stock 2 weeks ago, before I flashed Omnirom 8.1. Must I flash stock again before 9?
Is this a signed weekly build?

in flash tool, exclude all partitions but dsp, should be that simple.
but if you didn't understand what i said, it's best you just flash stock ftf again and avoid all this trouble.
So a long journey for me,I've flash my phone back to stock ftf using emma (it can flash to nougat only) and then flash to oreo use flashtool...install twrp again then I flash oem via fastboot and use twrp to flash Omni 9 and Gapps (Nano),boot perfectly and phone call works again...All working fine here

thanks for making the effort
would be great if others test the build as well
but you basically notice no issues that weren't already on 8.1 right?

What is the problem with a boot crash? Do you reboot that often? If I can successfully boot my device after some attempts, it is not such a critical issue. The old security level is more critical. Sidechannel updates are problematic, because of the different signatures. I don't want to wipe my device every time.
How many boot attempts are needed in average?

    well, good news
I think I narrowed the issue down to a single service (hwcomposer)
with some luck, it should be simple to find the exact cause now

A notice for the upcoming weekly:
The kernel has been updated to a new version. This requires an updated odm image.
If you update to the weekly of 20180128, when it's released, then you MUST flash the new odm image from OP, otherwise you'll end up with issues like a nonfunctional camera.
