Sorry, man. I don't own XT-1022 to make it but there are some alternatives that you can try

You can't connect with gmail if you don't install it

One suggestion, the stock launcher has many limitations, you could switch to the holo launcher, this would leave the most interesting rom yet.

I tried to install another launcher (nova, apex) and the switch panel gave my a force close.
So I installed the original launcher
