I'm having issues because I like to use statuabar+, go launcher, and SwiftKey and SetCPU. I have 0 problems on SHOStock2, but on v3,for some reason, it just uses a lot more cpu and memory than normal. I tried it for 5 days and I just couldn't figure out a happy medium. It might even be because these apps are not optimized for 4.1, but I don't know.

I can record a video if you want to see the difference.

I love all he new features, but I don't want to sacrifice too much of what I enjoy doing. I assumed v3 would use even less ram idling, but I don't think it does? Might have something to do with the Google now search feature.. And the multi Window, and the extra animations.. Just a lot of stuff.

You should be able to uninstall/turn off what you don't want or use. I know you don't have to use Google Now if you don't want it. You can also turn off animations in the developers options.

Well... all you need to do is add one at a time back. I tried SetCPU and it made no difference for me. Jeboo uses Go Launcher without issue except for the stupid animations it added for the Christmas Holidays.... Not sure what that's all about but that should be user enabled, not automatic. IDK what Statusbar+ is... I'll have to look at that and I haven't used swiftkey since I use Swype.
The added memory is one thing that helps the performance on JB. Its actually utilizing the memory that the phone has. Why cripple it. It makes apps load faster since it gets loaded in cache.
I haven't added any animations but I did add the JB animations to SHOstock2 so that is the same. GoogleNow I leave disabled in the app so all its good for is GoogleSearch.
There won't be a whole lot that changes once released IMO.

Thanks....

Update Posted:

(v1.6.5)
-Modded AutoBrightness to adjust like it should
-MMS Max Message size increase to 1mb. (Now we can send multiple images in one message)
-Smaller text size in expanded notification. (I wasn't able to do a lot but I could do some.
-Revamped RecentApps/Settings button in dropdown

-MediaScanner Patch by Google via CM10.1 (seems to help some of the test users along with removing any _ from MP3 titles along with looking for corrupt files or old nandroids)
-Updated Jeboo Kernel to v1.0e

Op confuses me, currently on 1.4, do I have to full wipe?

hmmm

I stated Full wipe required unless coming from 1.4+ ... That means if you are on 1.4 or higher you don't NEED to wipe. I thought that was clear. Hope this helps.

Thanks

EDIT: I edited OP. Is that a bit clearer?

I also use GO Launcher and no issues here (Except the animations as sho said but that can be turned off) Swiftkey Flow Beta 4 using it without any issues, No memory issues or battery life problems as some fellow members are having, phone goes to deep sleep in the night nicely and consumes less than 1% per hour, currently on 1.6.1, no mediascan issues, using poweramp... Hats off to Sho for such a wonderful and stable release :good: :good: :good:

In regards to comments about audio upgrades, using voodoo louder isn't going to improve your sound quality, only make it louder which is bad. If it could raise the signal to noise ratio in the actual hardware that's one thing. One important thing would be to enable 24 bit audio playback, without the DAC down converting it to 16 bit.
