Could be, but the fact is that with 1.1b and the new one (1.1d) I am having a much faster drain than 1.1a or 1.1c.

My battery life has been the same in all 1.1x versions since they are well pretty much the same.

FWIW, I've not had any problems with any of Jeboo's 1.x kernels. Good battery life even with 1.1b. Shostock3 1.7 has been nearly flawless for me; had a problem with camera app not working properly (viewfinder worked, butty no controls), but seems to have worked itself out. Only problems I've had with battery life on any of the 1.x kernels has been apps or corrupted data. Too many of them either use location or network constantly.

Charmin wipe, pare down your apps, try not to restore too much from backups, turn off as many location settings as you can stand. Let the rom get a full charge/discharge/charge cycle before you start reporting on drain.

And lastly, if you're not looking at Better Battery Stats, any reports here of excessive drain is purely anecdotal. If You don't know what's causing it, we don't either. Or as Sho puts it once a day "I don't have that problem"

I had the same problem while charging sometimes the phone would stop charging and display a message telling me that my battery temp is too high since going back 1.1a everything is smooth. hoping for a siyah kernel soon

Hey, I had the same batt temp is too high problem once I updated to 1.7. I restored the 1.6 from nandroid but the problem was still bugging. Done a full wipe and deleted the batt stat reflashed the 1.7 till now its fine.

So I would suggest those who have these anomalies go for a full wipe.

One more thing about media scanner issues, pls format ur ext sdcard and see the difference.

Pretty nice update. Less lag than before and much quicker transition changes between one screen to the next.

Edget to zoom is pretty neat. Works with boat browser as well. Might need time to get used to it.

One thing I find annoying is the "clear defaults" notification. By now... We all should know how to clear defaults.

Best browser that's the most unknown on the market IMO.

Glad to see someone else uses it. Plus flash + jelly bean and that browser works like a charm...screw Dolphin. :laugh:

Edit: I just flashed the new ROM. It is ridiculously fast and smooth.
