Re: [RoM][XWLS8-4.1.2-JB][SHOstock3 v2.0.1] [01/27/13]["Churning Butter"]

My RAM shows 825, last version (1.8.5) was 792... That tells me that this new version utilizes the internal memory (and most likely just about everything else) more efficiently and effectively. Not only that, but it is stock RAM manager... not known for accurate reporting (unless sho played with it).

My ROM only shows 758. I wonder what the number is a function of... regardless, everything is fluid. Battery life is phenomenal which is a huge plus. I just wish DPI was customizable on Samsung ROMs. I thought there was a modified launcher that allowed it but I'm sure apps still would look messed up if I messed with DPI.

Yes it's back up to 825 now. I didn't touch it. Thank you Samsung. Lol

I hate you.

There are many variables to determining the shown amount of RAM. I explained it somewhere before but I'm too lazy to find it.

In short:

Variance in hardware
Variance in software utilization
Stock RAM manager sucks

What's the big fuss? Mine says 825.

The whole fiasco with people obsessed with free RAM...free RAM is wasted RAM. Jelly Bean puts all your RAM to usage to overall speed up the phone. Things get slow when a computer device has to swap things in and out of RAM because of a lack of it.

I'm on 2.0 and the battery life is awesome. 4 hours up time 2 hours screen on ~20 minutes talk time, WiFi on most of the time, and 50% battery. Thanks again!

I am also stuck at the Galaxy boot screen. I do have an external SD card. I have tried it with and without the card installed. I cannot get to the CWM either. (by holding the power button down till the Galaxy screen shows up again)

:(

Mine also got stuck twice after flashing 2.0.1a. Yes to externalSD. Redownloaded file, MD5 checks out, flashed 2.0.1a then added Siyah 7.6 (thought kernel was at fault); works for a while, install TB, restore just user apps-data (deselect all, then select ONLY those I want restored - NO GAPPS restores). Reboot, then stuck at GSII logo. Went back to 2.0 for now...

go to settings/application manager, then the all apps tab and clear data for com.sec.android.app.flashbarservice and reboot.

I always turn it off in the toggle before I reboot to make sure this never happens. Its a quirk we currently have.
