Been using this ROM and has proven to be the most stable ROM I have used to date, great work. The only thing that I can't get around is a problem I am having using the exchange client with the stock email client included with the ROM. When I get to the point of installing the "Client Certificate" in the exchange server settings I get the "Unfortunately, Email has stopped." message after which the email client closes. I have used Google to search for a solution through XDA or other sites without success. I have linked a logcat file that hopefully contains the info that is needed to diagnose the problem. Either I am the only one having this problem or my searching skills need some work, if its the later please accept my apologies and point me in the right direction. Thanks

Side note, beautiful work on this ROM, especially considering SHO's recent surgery. Thanks for all the work that went into this ROM and hope recovery goes well.

I am using the stock client and Exchange push for email and never had to install a client certificate. Go through the setup and don't choose to install one.

I don't see anything that leads me to anything. I don't see anything Gmail either.

I know, it's weird. I'm absolutely positive that it happened during the time frame of that logcat though. That's why I wasn't sure that I was doing it right. You would think that Touchwiz crashing would show up in the log.

It would. Try using an app called catlog open the app and the hey Gmail to crash and save that log. See if that shows anything.

I just installed 2.6 after a full wipe with no TiBU restores. The problem is still there for me. What about you?
Yes, I'm having the same problem. Last night I did a complete wipe/reset and flashed 2.6. I set up my email account and downloaded the xda app and superbackup (sms restore). I didn't install any other programs or restore anything other than sms.

When I choose the email from the notification bar about 1/2 of the time gmail will not open. I then unlock the phone and open gmail. It is then locked up, hold the back button, it says gmail app killed but it is still open and works normally until next time. Sometimes when I click on the gmail icon it will not open, have to select twice for it to open.
I've only had touchwiz FC twice this morning when this was happening. I have not gotten any other errors, gmail just freezes or doesn't open correctly.

I guess I'll restore my apps with TiBu since that doesn't seem to make any difference.

Other than that this is a great ROM, thanks!

Thanks for the advise, gave it a try by my companies server requires the certificate for authentication or else it rejects the request. I tried installing the stock email.apk and exchange.apk on xda (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1380700), but even though the email client did not crash, it failed to authenticate with the server. I will keep digging to figure out what else I can do, if nothing else this will probably become my wife's new rom since she does not need exchange support.

Gmail has done that to me before when it gets double installed. I f fixed it by going to app manager, force stopping it, clear data, then go to system >apps and delete the apk manually. Not uninstalling it. Then download gmail from the play store

Not sure what you mean but my wife's authenticates from her work server. I'm sure her security isn't anything less then what yours requires.

I have tried that before but it didn't help. Was there anything of use in the dumpfile, Sho?

That's not quite what I'm experiencing. The force closes are not in frequent succession, they happen ever few hours or so. Also, it's Touchwiz that crashes, not Gmail.

Not sure how to fix it or if I can. Searches haven't given me any answers. What keyboard are you using? Any widgets?

Re: [RoM][XWLSJ-4.1.2-JB][SHOstock3 v2.6] [03/27/13]["Recovery Edition"]

The exchange server requires the certificate in order to authenticate me as a user. The modded email included with the rom crashes while trying to access the certificate on my device. Earlier I tried to get a log cat but I think I messed it up. I am link ink a more detailed log cat in case anyone wants to get make a look and see if there is anything obvious that is going on. http://db.tt/5xyc2F7L

This time I was using the JB 4.2 keyboard, but it also happens to me when using Swiftkey. As for widgets, I am currently using the calendar and the modern clock widgets that are built in.
