Sure I will test too, can someone please link me to the post ?

Edit: I found it.

Edit#2: sorry for the delay. As I was renaming framework2.jar using efs file explorer the phone rebootedand abd got stock and was forced to reflash the ROM and used adb that I should have used in first place. The scrolling effect seemed slightly improved but couldn't find much difference as I used it very short time. You know I am not a fan of scrolling cache, so I vote to disable it:D

lol... so even in the short time you said the scrolling effect seemed slightly improved but you still vote to disable it? That sounds odd. :silly:

Sounds like you just don't wanna admit that maybe, just maybe, scrolling cache might just be fixed.

restoring older version

If you're having issues with 2.6 then you need to wipe again and flash again. Verify md5...etc. You think I would put something out that's worse? Come on now! Nothing (well maybe not nothing) irritates me more then someone looking for something older because they think it's better.

I'l try to wipe and flash again. I'm going to downgrade since that re. worked just stable with no problems almost (except for jumpy paging and scrolling sometimes). I have flashed the Captivating ROM, but then I wanted to go back to yours 2.6 and it started to freeze, crash and all that crap.Recovery -nandroid did not work OK as well, like it was corrupted (got recovered, but with a lot of fc's). So I wish to start over from a good point.
Thanks.

Did my latest logcat shed light on anything? Not trying to nag you or anything, just curious.
I do not use multi window. Here's a logcat of another scenario where Gmail doesn't open from notifications in the pulldown. It happened at about 12:19:43 in the log. Sorry the file is so big, I'm sending from my phone and couldn't find an easy way to to cut it down. http://db.tt/j7WQIc1S

Any more details on gmail failures? I updated my wife's phone to latest version of the ROM and gmail still fails to launch on occasion with both stock launcher and Nova. Other than that, running smooth here.

Hi SHO,
Hope you didn't mind that I made these available...

Like you, I don't like going back (nor understand the logic when most have no problems). Perhaps it's a "woobie" effect :p

At any rate, the framework2.jar has been a success for me since the day you posted it. It feels smoother with both Jeboo's and AJK's kernel. I'm using Apex BTW. I vote to keep it !

Hope the recovery is going well.. and some of the snow is gone...tough to like New England winters at my age

Yes I do have my music stored on my sdcard. How would the playlist get deleted though? How is the playlist stored?
I had it happen to me once. This was after I added music to the folder in my ExtSD. It didn't bother me to redo the playlist.

That could probably be it. I add music to my sdcard constantly, however I have about 10+ playlists so redoing it does matter.

lol... Of course. I'm just trying to understand you thinking. You said you think it was better maybe just a little but maybe not. So either way it wasn't worse. So on the chance that it is a little better..... why would you still stand at disabled? That's what I'm trying to understand.

EDIT: On another note..... I'm baking XWLSN that just got pushed. I wish I had that new modem to test.

I don't think the update can be done through Kies. I think you have to do it through the settings menu, software update? Just make sure you are 100% stock modem and all. No rooted kernel either.

Siyah download

Hi All, I wiped my phone clean and put SHO on it and downloaded the Siyah Kernel that I used with SHO3 before this newest one. After rebooting, I get nothing, the screen is just black. I have done your usual wiping of dalvik, data after installing SHO and installed Siyah and wiped after and rebooted recovery and then rebooted the phone with the same result. Is there a known good Siyah that works with the newest SHO update?
