Hi Sho,

Once I have upgraded to 1.4 my phone is acting weired at times. Some of the installed apps are missing after reboot. Today I've lost the XDA app and whenever I tried to install from the play store after the download it fails to install. An error message on the notification bar "Could'nt install on USB storage or SD card" My internal storage is not fully occupied, system storage is only used up 478MB out of 1.97GB. Previously I've tried to install some other apps and that too failed due to this.

I've tried to install the XDA app from the SD card which I've downloaded previously but to no avail. Now I've no XDA app on my phone, Any pointers to fix this?

Pls do something, its really frustrating:(
I use tapatalk but I just downloaded and installed the xda app from the store with no issue and in posting from it. That small 2gb storage it's the system partition.. You don't install there anyway. It should install to your internal usb storage.

I don't know if it is an issue but I'm getting problems with a lot of apps from the market. When I went to see what's new with Chrome I got the message that the app isn't compatible with my device. Also happens with a lot of apps that I have installed on my device.

I have chrome installed from the market.
There isn't too many apps that aren't compatible that I use. I had one app that wasn't but installed it from a back up and new updates work fine on it.

Hi Sho,

After googling I found a a work around here:
http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/0...on-usb-storage-or-sd-card-problem-on-android/

But its not working with my case, but I guess this is something with the temp files with the previous installations. So I've done another thing, unmounted the SD card and downloaded the app, BINGO, it worked...:D After installation, mounted the SD card. Now everything seems to be OK.

Was reading around this morning. Is Jeboo kernel an issue with this or is it patched?

You could always try chainfire's app to see if it works.

FYI....I tried SuperCurio's app and it says we are affected..but installing it does seem to kill our camera whether it's enabled or not.
I uninstalled and the camera came back....

My wife called for first time since I flashed SS3. Horrible sound quality, anyone know a good alt modem thats good? I'm in Northwest TN if anyone has experience

Disable noise reduction. It is what it is. A modem doesn't change anything. Once we get the kernel built from source... sound well improve. Testing a build now.... should be soon.

I have no issues with GPS but I did make some changes to one file in hopes it helps you out.
They this....
http://db.tt/LvaRNcw9

Put that in your /system/etc folder. Permissions are 644
Be sure to clear cache and dalvik just in case.
I get a lock in 4 seconds and have 11 Sat connected while driving down the highway.
Your razr seems to be lying about the amount of Sat it sees.... idk even my in car gps with an external antenna barely sees more then 9 locks....and 11 viewable.

Sho, I can't believe you went out of your way to help me fix this issue, despite not having it yourself. After a while of leaving it with GPS on to settle, I get fairly fast locks to 5-10 meter accuracy. Before, I couldn't even get a lock in Maps in the same place. Thanks a ton, really!

Thanks man, i remember seeing that and thinking i need to get to it before I forgot. Had to pull an all nighter and been doing the work thing all morning, that step hadn't crossed my mind until you brought it up

My wife is having trouble finding "Noise Reduction" to disable it, can someone take a look and tell me what it's under.

Open the dialer, hit menu, and Call Settings. It's under Additional Settings. Took me a while to find, even though I did look for it immediately after flashing. Good luck!

EDIT: Added more detail
