Back up everything before, including EFS!

For v6 you have to be on latest twrp recovery to utilize install options and you must wipe or some mods will not activate!

If on TWRP recovery, grab latest Rom Customizer from play store
Place rom on internal sdcard
Select flash/install from internal sd in Rom Customizer
When asked select wipe and choose your install options
When asked select reboot

If not on TWRP recovery
Place rom on sdcard
Reboot recovery
Wipe/flash/reboot

If you choose the no twrp option you will have no choice of install options, no theme choice etc...

Job done!! :D

Evening, folks. So, assuming I am somewhat mentally challenged, could someone enlighten me as to the difference between the new DME6 modem in comparison to an older one such as the C3. Is it simply faster, or is there more to it than I am understanding.

For the record, I plan on flashing Repack A as soon as I've backed up most of my phone data so, really, was just wondering what I'm potentially missing out on.

Hawt damn, were you just sitting there waiting, eager for something anything on this thread... You amazing person/team you...

Thanks for the ridiculously fast response. Guess I'll chill with the stock Alliance experience with Repack A, at least until Sammy makes a solid move to make it substantially easier for devs, such as yourself, to fully utilise the phone's functionality without risking too much on the the common denominator of all mistakes, the general public (myself included of course).

I believe folks, like Dr.Ketan, have XXDME6 firmware, apparently 100% Stock but with root...... Don't know if that might help?

Sent from my GT-P7510 using xda app-developers app

Just a bit of useless information--I am currently waiting to Flash sparky b's V.4 and have been since just about a week before it was uploaded--I am currently on another XXDME6 ROM with Kernel XXDMF1--and I have just been looking back over about 4 different efs folder backups--most from spaky's V.3.1 [Alliance] while in different parts of the world and using different simcards on different networks--a fourth on is from Stock Samsung ROM--however the only Backup made from XXDME6 ROM is larger and has 3 seperate files--all the other are exactly 20Mb, and the new one is 20.36 Mb.

Like I said useless info--but something is very different about the new efs.
Sorry if this is old, boring or useless--it interested me.

Oops--Also--sorry to sparky b for writing this in your new thread which is, presumably only about the repacked v.4.
Sorry again.

are your Repack Rom is multidpi compatible?
I love 240 dpi ROms
Not out of the box, but it's easy enough to do with readily available tools such as Rom Toolbox and the Xposed Framework.

What is the difference between the repack and repack b...and which one is better?
Wow, you must be new here. You didn't even read back 1 page to the OP.

Although this firmware is XXDME6 RePack_a does not contain the kernel or modem that comse with it. These have been replaced by older versions to avoid loss of imei when rolling back to older firmware. Flash this if you have not yet made the jump to dme6/dmf2/dmg1.

If you are already on dme6/dmf2/dmg1 etc install RePack_b, this has the kernel and modem that came with the firmware.

Flash the rom and use xposed module to trick samsung...
if uw ant better 240 dpi support.. Go to bala_gamers thread in themes and apps section and grab the multidpi system apps from there..
flash them one by one.. and change dpi according to ur wish..! as simple as that..

all it takes is a bit of search and reading :)
