Ok, I’m trying my hand at this yet again. As I said before, I am by no means a developer, and don’t have near the experience or knowledge as those on here that are. I was asked to build a Deodexed GB28 for Virgin Mobile users and post it on XDA, so that is what I did. I found that as I was building this ROM, I came across problems in the preload partition. I found the solution by simply replacing the GB28 preload (hidden) folder with the already deodexed hidden folder from my GC01 build. This allowed for the zipaligning and completion of the build. I hope that this helps and that someone is able to get some use out of it!

As opposed to my first OP, I’m going to start by thanking those deserving individuals that were so instrumental in making this project a success:
Google – For obvious reasons
XDA – For this amazing site, and the phenomenal job you all do at maintaining it.
Garwynn, Agat63, and Team SXTP – For posting the stock that this was built from, letting me post your links, and for everything else you do for XDA and the E4GT
Rwilco12 – For having the base for this and so much more for this phone in your repo
Stryke_the_Orc – Where do I start? You’re awesome bro. Thanks for taking me under your wing and for testing this build.
MoHoGalore – For the work! And the daily lessons and for always pushing me to build and grow, as well as helping facilitate the testing of this for Virgin Mobile
Joffie87 – For confirming this build on a Virgin Mobile phone, and for the awesome screen shots verifying MMS.
dsixda - For his kitchen which I used to cook this!
Mattix724 - For letting me use his OP as a template
Tdunham – For JB Format all x2
If I missed anyone, please, please, let me know and I'll get you added to the list. I 100% believe in giving credit where credit is due.

Notes:
This is built from the SPH-D710VMUB_GB28_1014481_Rooted_Restore.tar.md5 http://www.rwilco12.com/downloads.php?dir=Files/Devices/Samsung%20Galaxy%20S2%20%28Virgin%29%20%28SPH-D710VMUB%29/Stock%20ROMs/JB/GB28/Full%20Restore/Rooted
This may be used as a base for ROM developers. All I ask for is credit for taking the time to put this together.
This DOES NOT wipe the internal storage.
This DOES not include a custom kernel, and you WILL lose custom kernel/recovery when you flash. However, I have posted a link to Garywnn’s OP, with his permission, of course, which has the latest and greatest GB28 SPH-D710BST kernels with Agat’s recovery. Version 0.5.0 is the latest as of this post.

Issues:
ROM has been tested on Boost, Sprint, and Virgin Mobile (Thanks again MoHoGalore, Stryke_the_Orc, and Joffie87). There are no issues with flashing this ROM that have been brought to my attention. However, during testing, I did find out something unique that I don’t believe has been mentioned before. Once the ROM is flashed, the software version under settings/about device will not change to reflect that build unless you flash the modem that corresponds with that build. For instance, if you flash this ROM (GB28), but keep your GB27 modem, your software version will remain GB27. The same goes if you come from ICS or GB. Just for kicks, I flashed a EL29 modem, kept it when flashing this ROM, and sure enough, software version was same as modem number. I have included some screenshots where this is the case for anyone who is interested. The names of the screenshots are labeled as (BuildModem) I don’t think this was an issue before, but I discovered it during the testing of this and the GC01 build, so I thought I would include it with this one, so that folks are aware

Installation Instuctions:
1. Download the ROM zip to your phone
2. Reboot to recovery (I used SXTP’s GB28 3.0) or Odin to EL26 Link
3. Wipe cache/dalvik (Good habit) – If you want to do a full wipe, use JB Format x2
4. Flash Modem (If needed. You need JB Modem to have data)
5. Select install zip from sdcard
6. Select choose zip from sdcard if your zip file is on the external sdcard or select choose zip from internal sdcard if you downloaded the zip right to your phone
7. Select the zip. If you downloaded directly to your phone it is in the Download folder. Otherwise, it is wherever you put it
