Great work guys... OP one thing... Don't stop updating this ROM in the future... I love the ROM... Just awesome!!
This is my first Sony phone and it's awesome.

Regarding updates, unless there are any bug fixes, we'll have updates at least once per week.

I just noticed that if you do a clean install by doing a factory reset before flashing the latest build, the camera shows up in the app drawer.

So I recommend a clean install.

OK, I'm uploading a build with twrp instead of cwm. It has been working flawlessly for me, but please let me know how it works for you guys.

Here it is

odin_PAC_JB_4.2.2-v22.1.0_20130412-apascual89twrp.zip - 202.82 MB

I will wait for feedback, but this will be the default recovery included in ROM if no bugs are detected. By the way the reboot to recovery issue is fixed so you can reboot into it just like cwm.

Will this boot.img with twrp embedded Work with stock based Roms as.well??

Sent from my C6506 using Tapatalk 2
Nope. Assuming by stock you mean stock Sony?

Does anyone know what happens to earlier CWM backups once this is installed? I cant find them. I am guessing they are deleted?

Backups with custom names, restores, cache and system wipes work fine. So does reboot to recovery. Oh and pressing the VOL DOWN button boots into recovery :good:

EDIT: Looks like OP answered it already :)

The backups are still there, they are just not compatible. They are in a folder called clockworkmod.

I guess you could flash cwm restore, then create the backup again in twrp

Ya you have to restore your cwm backups, then create a new backup with twrp.

Any chance of getting a twrp recovery for stock Sony firmware?

Also, does the IR blaster work with aosp Roms??

Thanks

That would only work if the previous backups were of PAC and not stock SONY:)

The backups arent there in the Clockwork folder. The reason being, when you flash an AOSP ROM over stock, it creates a folder 0 within which all files exist. Using any file manager, while in AOSP, you cannot go upto that level. 0 (or root if you so wish to call it) is the highest/ lowest you can go. I just realized this.

So the backups are in the Clockwork folder in the root of the SD Card, not in the Clockwork folder within 0. I dont know if I am able to explain this well. Sheesh!!

This has been already answered. As of now its limited to stock Sony based ROMS only. Though devs are working towards making it work on AOSP ROMs as well.

I know what your saying. Ssame thing happened with my s2. You can still access those backups though. You have to copy and paste your cwm backups from either root, or "0", and paste them into the cwm backup folder that shows up while in recovery.

Basically flashing aosp creates a separate partition for your backups. All the other folders are there like "downloads" and "DCIM," but there's nothing in any of the folders, except cwm backups. Its.hard to explain, but I know what your sayin, lol

SD card = CWM Backups
"0" = all other files

I'm confused :what:

You backed up what to where and then moved what file to what 0?

:D

Ha ha. Alright, I am gonna try again

I was on stock SONY and had flashed CWM. Did backups that were stored in the Clockwork folder. Then I flashed PAC. Now after 4.2, AOSP files are stored in a folder 0 and not in the root of the internal sd. But since CWM was installed on the root, I was able to backup and restore even AOSP roms. With me until now? :D

Fast forward to now. I flashed TWRP while on AOSP. This means it created a folder for backups INSIDE the 0 folder. Thus no longer being able to see one level above the 0 folder, i.e where the CWM backups are stored.

Which would effectively mean, I have completely locked access to all folders apart from the ones inside 0.

Please tell me you understood that :cyclops:

Yes but thats the problem, aint it? Only the files under 0 are shown in TWRP, windows explorer and all file managers

OK that has happened to me once and never again. Two options

1 select airplane mode on with the power menu, reboot. After reboot select aiplaine mode off reboot again. That should fix it.

2 flash baseband only with flash tool.

The second option worked for me and it hasn't happened again .

The same issue exists with other AOSP ROMs too. The airplane mode trick has always worked for me. Does anyone have their playstore crashing randomly? I'll try to pull a logcat sometime
