Most of the time when placing or receiving a call, no sound would be heard from any party.
I would see the running seconds of the ongoing call, but get no sound at all.

So I went to "Settings > Apps > Google Play Services > Permissions" and disabled "Phone" and "Microphone"

Btw it shouldn't have no sound in calls issue, how was that happening?

That's strange, on yuga that never happens, also I think repey6 didn't have that problem when testing on odin.. However it's nice to know, thanks!

I'm having this issue back again. Might also be related with plugging / unplugging headphones, because I use them a lot. ...bummer. I know this is not specific to this ROM, and I've seen it in forums across other devices, with no definite solution yet.

You could try to get some logs when it happens

I think that for this(calls) need to use headset , not headphones

that's correct, but because he didn't specify what he was using for calls, I assumed he meant using phone speaker/mic.. For that, there should be no problem in calls.

UPDATE: I went into Settings > Apps hit the "Configure Apps" icon > App permissions > Phone and unchecked most of the apps. That seems to have solved the problem. Will keep testing before giving a definite answer, but seems to work.

I must clarify (I have written in my yuga threads), the reason for headphones without mic (3 pin) not working is one specific blob that complains that the in/out device combination (headphones for out, phone mic for in) is not valid. I don't know how they got rid of this in stock ROM because it's the same blob, and similar audio configuration files. But for this to work in custom ROMs one must at least override the complaining function in that blob, if not more than that, which isn't too easy to achieve.

Wow I never knew Odin had IR because yuga doesn't seems polluxes have it too.. Before I look into it, could you please tell me, has any custom rom (CM or AOSP based) ever had working IR on odin? Cause I don't see anything related to IR in current Odin source files..

Oh I thought it was built in the ROM..

Well this app might as well run also we have the needed selinux stuff already so pls check it on my roms. And try to take logs if it doesn't work.

About continuing development - these are about the last MM builds, and for Nougat I don't know yet if I'll hold on to my yuga until anyone including myself has it booting and working on fusion3, so can't really say anything for certain..

Tried it but need the SELinux disabling.
I'm not sure how to do that

SELinuxModeChanger-v3.2-release.apk, but the IR REMOTE app is still asking me to change it (in order to set permissions). SELinux permissive shown in About phone System menu. I'm even getting the SuperSU notifications of permissions being changed, but the app still closes.
