Flashing Instructions:
THE FOLLOWING METHOD OF ENABLING SEND_COMMAND IS VERY DANGEROUS. ONE SECOND TOO LATE IN PULLING THE CORD AND YOU WILL HARD BRICK YOUR DEVICE. ( @Agimax and I have personally bricked one each already using this method)
  1. Copy ROM image to the root directory of your INTERNAL storage.
  2. Carefully open Send_Command port:
    • Download & Install the LG Drivers & LG Up
    • Download LG_Root.zip.
    • Download ZV9 TOT
    • Run LG UP with the ZV9 TOT file
    • Once it gets to 9% (and you see a green COM# on your phone screen) -[Takes 20-30 seconds at most], disconnect the phone and close LG UP. **If you f-up this step YOU WILL have a HARD BRICK**
    • Download and extract LG_root.zip
    • Connect your phone again and run ports.bat
    • Now check which COM# for LGDIAG port
  3. Send_Command.exe \\.\COMxx
  4. Command to flash is listed next to the download near the end of this post.
  5. Type LEAVE then pull battery when complete.

Thanks to:
@Agimax - For the post template & discovering the use of ZV6 hidden menu apk for hotspot.
@Pfeffernuss - For the original camera mod
@Awesomeslayerg - For translating the guide to access Send_Command @hsrose - For finding and writing the original guide to opening the Send_Command port

Regarding the GLOBAL version: If you are a GSM/Global user, please flash that version. For now, they are not a unified build. The Global version works as far as I know for GSM. (still need testers) It does not work properly for Sprint/CDMA users. If you have Sprint & want to try it, go ahead, but it will probably be really buggy.

Oooh nice. Hmm it's so scary to try this though, any chance you could have a youtube video showing the advanced technique to pull out the cable just in time?

I'll try to make one later. (at work now) I have an old Photon Q laying around I could video with. You just have to pull the cable the second you see the green COM# show up on the phone's screen. This is actually better to pay attention to than the %. It happens about 2-3 seconds after the 9% shows up.

Once we begin step 4 (running LGUP), approximately how long should we expect till it gets to the 9%/COM # shows up. For example, is it within the first 30 seconds, or does it take maybe closer to 2 minutes? If pulling the cable at the right time is so critical, it would sure help to have some guesses as to approximately how long we are talking about.

And thank you VERY much for all the work and effort. Just when I thought my G4 might be locked up into pure stock forever, you guys find small window to get through. I appreciate everyone's work. You guys are amazing!

It takes maybe 20-30 seconds at most to get to the point at which you will pull the cable.
