MULTIROM Method:
No need to upgrade downgrade .u can easily taste this ROM in secondary in MULTIROM
1. Prepare ur phone for MULTIROM environment
2.Delete "firmware update" and "radio" folder from rom zip
3.Replace the original updater script with mine(see attachment)
4.Go to MULTIROM recovery and add this rom as secondary.boot the rom
.if not booting at first chance repeat reboot to this rom.
5. Home button is not working due to delete firmware folder.Install multi-action home button apk from playstore

Flashing instruction
Method 1(twrp method) from null0seven
Download Twrp 3.0.2-1.28 http://forum.xda-developers.com/devd...t/dl/?id=21835
Full wipe.
Instal OOS Nugat. Reinstal twrp 3.0.2.1.28. Reboot to recovery to check if it works. It works. Then reboot to system. All OK. No root. I've flash in recovery SuperSU SR4. No sim. Then SuperSU SR5, SIM ok.

Method 2(thanks squire) (Do it in your own risk) :
1. back up your data
2. download the rom
3. Download and install Minimal adb and Fastboot
4. put the full rom .zip file into adb folder and rename it like update.zip
5. go to command prompt open as administrator
6. boot your phone to recovery mode and select adb download
7. write in command prompt adb divices
8. then again write adb sideload update.zip and enter..............done............wait till 100%..enjoy
Or u can do local upgrade with cb7 stock recovery (some user done this)

For rooted device use this TWRP for CB8by eng.stk

[Known Issues]
Android Pay may not work correctly
Some stability/performance issues
After upgrading to Android N, you will not be able to directly downgrade back to M builds. Our customer service team has a special build of Android M that will allow you to downgrade, but this will format your device. If you'd like to flash back to M, please contact our CS support here: [https://oneplus.net/support]
Please keep in mind that this is beta software. This build will not be as stable as our official OTA releases. Given that this is a shift to a brand new version of Android, there may be more bugs in this build than previous Open Beta builds. By installing this update, you accept the potential risks.

If OnePlus does it like every other company out there, they will tease that it is "coming soon", just to keep people interested in the brand, or lure in new customers who are on the fence, but figure, what the heck, it will have it soon so I will buy it now instead of the other device... But it is hype, and won't be here till 2017...

That's my guess.

Totally BS in my opinion. 7.1 is in beta at the moment. Final version is expected somewhere in December. And then Oneplus can start working on it. So i wouldnt count on a 7.1 release this year if ever.
They may push 7.0 in December...
