This is one from most needed functions...for me...will this problem solve in future?
I flashed devbase rom which uses a cscMod that enables call recording and other features. After this, I flashed other roms but the csc was not flashed. I still have the same csc from devbase rom and I am now on pie beta from Dr.ketan.
He has not added call recording yet in his rom but I have call recording showing up in my phone app. I also have other csc features like camera shutter sound toggle etc working in pie.
Based on this, I'm guessing the Oreo Csc files are carried over to pie. So if you have flashed a modded csc that enables all these options then they should work on all Samsung roms, including the current pie beta, until you flash another csc.

Yeah I'm kind of waiting myself for an update..... I'm really loving this ROM but this last 2.3 version has been killing my battery

Mine is working.. the only issue I'm having this huge battery drain with this version. I've removed all bloatware and keep my phone on optimized. I even keep the screen very low but it says my screen is heating up sometimes 21% of my battery usage
Why do you think 21% of the battery used by screen is too much???
From my experience even 35% is not a big usage. I have draining around 33% by screen and it is normal result.
Don't think Pie version will be better. For me this version is very good in terms of battery usage.

This is now my favorite rom. Many thanks.
However for some reason my recents nav bar key doesn't work on single press. Had to remap recent apps to long press or double press for it to work. Tried both rom control and gravitybox no dice.

No the recent apps key on the nav bar. I managed to get it working messing with rom control again though
just flash back latest stock firmware. next time: flash rom then flash ketans OEM unlock fix from the general discussion.
so now just hold bixby and vol down (continu holding) while plugging the phone to a pc. release buttons only when you see dl mode.
also read and search the forums for about oem unlock.
btw that rom you flashed is very old.
That is the only reason why I am still on OREO, until xposed comes out I'll move to PIE
There is not too many apps on EdXposed for Pie.
They always crashed.
